Overview: The Regional HR Generalist performs human resources-related duties at the professional level and will carry out responsibilities in some or all the following functional areas: employee relations, labor relations, benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, and training/development. This position may support multiple sites.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.</li> <li>Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits and leave, disciplinary matters, dispute and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition and morale; and training and development.</li> <li>Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.</li> <li>Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data, making recommendations to the management team for corrective and continuous improvement.</li> <li>Responds to employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints.</li> <li>Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.</li> <li>Facilitates and/or provides training (including new hire orientation) to the workforce.</li> <li>Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.</li> <li>Recruits, interviews, screens qualified job applicants to fill entry level, professional, management, and technical job openings.</li> <li>Works with leadership in coaching and developing the management team</li> <li>Contribute to team effectiveness by assisting in other areas as needed</li> <li>Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.</li><li>3 to 5 experience in Human Resources as a Generalist in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Union experience preferred.</li><li>SHRM-CP a plus.</li><li>Ability to objectively coach employees and management through issues that may be complex, difficult and emotional.</li><li>Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations or government law.</li><li>Ability to organize and prioritize work.</li><li>Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.</li></ul>
