Overview: The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager in direct line to the Plant Manager. This hands-on position requires the ability to interact positively with all levels of the organization, including management, supervisory and hourly employees. Success in this role will require a large amount of time directly on the production floor.
Responsibilities: <ul><li>Meets safety goals and objectives</li><li>Supports quality goals and objectives</li><li>Complies with governmental and company regulations</li><li>Implements Lean and Six Sigma</li><li>Complies with Property Conservation guidelines</li><li>Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s)</li><li>Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply</li><li>Plans and administers procedures and budgets</li><li>Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas</li><li>Selects personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function</li><li>Assists Masonite in becoming a “low cost producer”</li><li>Leverages lean sigma tools and drive continuous improvement efforts to develop and maintain measurable safety, quality and productivity goals and objectives</li><li>Modifies programs to resolve problem areas</li><li>Utilizes routine inspections, facilitate training to develop personnel and be empowered to stop any operation if there are any safety or quality issues </li></ul>
Requirements: <ul><li>Experience in paint applications, including viscosity, formulation, application, and paint booth operations a must. </li><li>Paint booth and Paint application responsibilities</li><li>Must possess effective written & verbal communication skills</li><li>Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft software</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Associates Degree or higher in a related field (Manufacturing, Engineering or equivalent)</li><li>Two to three years related manufacturing experience</li><li>Experience in Paint Booth and Industrial Coatings</li><li>Experience with Lean Sigma preferred but not required</li></ul>
