Overview: The Operations Project Manager is responsible for managing large scale, cross-functional and multi-location operational excellence projects delivering world class performance. This manager must be able to excel in managing change and stakeholder communication at various organizational levels, inside and outside the organization. They must be able to lead multiple projects and consistently deliver on deadlines and budgetary requirements.
Responsibilities: <ul><li>Develop project plans that include scope, resourcing, timing, and budget</li><li>Lead large scale projects and project teams from initiation to final execution</li><li>Assign individual team member tasks and maintain accountability</li><li>Temporarily manage daily operations while operating in project phase</li><li>Effectively develop countermeasures for missed milestones to return to original timeline</li><li>Fully engage with a diverse workforce and maintain daily presence on the shop floor</li><li>Report weekly on operational performance, improvement plans, and project status</li><li>Adhere to project management office standards and support portfolio resourcing</li><li>Foster an environment of coaching and mentoring to continuously develop employees and enhance operational excellence</li><li>Candidates may be considered for locations that are not listed if they are near an existing Masonite location or have easy access to a major airport</li><li>Approximately 30% travel with up to 75% based on business needs</li></ul>
Requirements: <ul><li>Minimum 5 years operations management and/or large scale manufacturing capital project management responsibility</li><li>Documented Lean-Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt training required; however, other comparable LSS certifications or training may be considered</li><li>Experience with Lean Material Replenishment and Flow Systems (eg. Replenishment Pull Systems, CONWIP, Heijunka, Tugger Train use, etc)</li><li>Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, operations management, or other comparable field required</li><li>Advanced degree a PLUS but not required</li><li>Significant finance experience, especially P&L responsibility, is a PLUS</li><li>Experience in both manual and automated production environments</li><li>Candidates may be considered for locations that are not listed if they are near an existing Masonite location or have easy access to a major airport</li></ul>
