Overview: The Manager, ERM is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program for all Masonite business segments. The ERM program establishes the policies, common processes, competencies, accountabilities, reporting, and enabling technology to execute that approach successfully. This position requires hands-on ERM program execution experience.
Responsibilities: <ul><li>Manages the development of a program that identifies, evaluates, mitigates, and monitors the company's macro, operational and strategic risk.</li><li>Partners with stakeholders to assess, quantify, aggregate, and mitigate exposures through the identification of key and emerging risks and ensuring alignment with business strategy.</li><li>Supports enhancement of ERM to provide a common risk taxonomy, foster consistency, and identify and cross-pollinate best practices in managing risk.</li><li>Provides guidance to support build out of the global program which will deliver a common enterprise approach for the governance, development, execution and sustainability of the ERM program.</li><li>Partners with stakeholders in the business and provides trusted risk consulting, guidance and assistance to business segments to prepare risk assessments, including analyzing mitigating controls, identifying gaps, and facilitating the creation of risk mitigation plans, as well as required reporting and escalations of significant business risks.</li><li>Assists stakeholders in the development of risk dashboards and reporting formats that align risk appetite/profile and facilitates teams in the identification, quantification and aggregation of risks using analytical methodologies.</li><li>Educates risk owners on risk management best practices and works with other risk functions in the development and implementation of risk controls.</li><li>Contributes to providing a comprehensive set of ERM tools, practices and policies to analyze and report enterprise risks, including the analytical, systems and data management capabilities to support the risk management programs, consolidating and integrating ERM tools and functions, and implementing a set of risk metrics and reports that include key risk exposures and early warning indicators.</li><li>Performs related duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance or Audit required.</li> <li>A minimum of 6 years experience in public accounting or top tier consulting firm and/or robust public company ERM function. Progressively responsible leadership experience required.</li> <li>CRMP, CBCP, CRM or equivalent certification highly desired.</li> <li>Hands-on ERM program execution experience in a large, distributed corporate environment required.</li> <li>Excellent consultative skills and ability to effectively facilitate groups to consensus; ability to create trust and confidence quickly</li> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business executives.</li> <li>Well versed in managing projects and getting things done in a matrix environment</li> <li>Understanding of technology directions, trends and strategic business impact on key client initiatives</li> <li>Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly-complex environment using leading-edge technology</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to communicate with customers, associates and management; solid teamwork and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Strong presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding</li> <li>Ability to build teams, establish credibility, evangelize the program</li> <li>Ability to establish solid relationships with vendors in support of initiatives; ability to negotiate and manage outside vendors against deliverables.</li> <li>Good business planning, analytical, and conceptual skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions</li> <li>Solid project management skills including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of various diverse scope in a cross-functional environment</li> <li>Proven history of being resourceful, self-motivating, ability to operate with limited direction in a changing environment</li> <li>Superior leadership characteristics (i.e., diplomacy, decisiveness, assertiveness, collaborative and inclusive management style)</li> <li>Demonstrate ethics, integrity, and confidentiality&mdash;adhering to a core set of values consistent with company&rsquo;s vision and values</li> <li>Ability to travel on a moderate basis (up to 25%), including internationally</li> </ul>
