Overview: The Maintenance Supervisor ensures area mechanical and electrical equipment is maintained and is in good operating condition, to minimize downtime, optimize production, and facilitate smooth on-schedule maintenance repairs. This position directs preventative maintenance and repair activities to achieve area quality and throughput goals. This leader establishes standard work and daily accountability metrics for the area maintenance resources.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>This position will have X direct reports and Y total reports under their supervisory organization.</li> </ul> <p>Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Personally, complies with plant EHS policies</li> <li>Provides EHS training and guidance to employees</li> <li>Holds employees accountable for compliance with plant EHS policies</li> <li>Provides knowledge and direction to facilitate inspection and repairs of area electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment</li> <li>Directs area maintenance employee activities</li> <li>Establishes work priorities and schedules for area maintenance employees</li> <li>Provides systems and support for equipment breakdown response, root cause determination, and repair processes</li> <li>Arranges for replacement parts through plant procurement systems</li> <li>Supports a corporate culture that focuses on facts, tangible results, and behaviors</li> <li>Routinely compares results to plan and communicates findings to employees</li> <li>Supports efforts to recruit, select, and train maintenance employees</li> <li>Maintains a safe and secure work environment</li> <li>Develops personal growth opportunities</li> <li>Accomplishes staff results by communicating job goals and expectations; plans, monitors, and appraises job results; coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees; initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures</li> <li>Develops and maintains standard operating procedures for area routine maintenance activities</li> <li>Supports efforts to maintain appropriate spare parts inventory</li> <li>Maintains ample supplies and tools for area maintenance activities</li> <li>Serves as plant resource for certain regulated programs</li> <li>Behaves continuously and consistently with desired Masonite Mprove values, and characteristics</li> <li>Communicates and facilitates meetings effectively</li> <li>Identifies and resolves issues skillfully and in a timely manner</li> <li>Responds to area equipment breakdown events when needed</li> <li>Keeps abreast of emerging technology and industry practices</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p>Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements: Provide hiring requirements necessary to successfully perform this job; indicate required and preferred levels for each category below.</p> Education<br /> <ul> <li>Associates degree or higher-level degree preferred</li> <li>Journeyperson or equivalent training (or relative educational background)</li> </ul> <br />Experience<br /> <ul> <li>A minimum of 3 to 5 years&rsquo; experience supervising in a manufacturing maintenance environment with hourly direct reports</li> <li>Experience using a Maintenance Information System</li> <li>Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint</li> <li>Strong aptitude for equipment technology troubleshooting and repair</li> </ul> <br />Additional Information:<br />Essential Physical Requirements:<br /> <ul> <li>kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and course manipulation, reaching both forward and above head level, and tolerant of temperature changes for the entire shift.</li> <li>Must be able to cover a large factory work space</li> <li>Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 75 pounds.</li> <li>Must be able to navigate fixed ladders to reach elevated platforms at great heights</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
