Full-Time

Overview: The Maintenance Supervisor ensures mechanical and electrical plant equipment is maintained and is in good operating condition, to minimize downtime, optimizes production, machine up-time, and facilitates smooth on-schedule maintenance outage and repair. This position implements preventative maintenance programs; meets maintenance cost budgets; and equipment up-time goals, pre-qualifies contractors and administrative contracts for equipment installation and maintenance.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Meet budget requirements by developing and implementing cost reduction projects for operational improvements and efficiency cost control.</li> <li>Utilize our CMMS system to create work orders, schedule, and plan work.</li> <li>Take part of Lean Six Sigma training and Supervisor skills coaching</li> <li>Supervises and establishes priorities and schedule personnel for maintenance of all plant equipment, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic</li> <li>Responds to breakdowns by determining problem and effect immediate repair</li> <li>Supports a corporate culture that focuses on facts, tangible results and behaviors</li> <li>Establishes and monitor plant-wide preventive maintenance program</li> <li>Maintains plant maintenance staff by recruits, selects, orients, and trains employees; maintains a safe and secure work environment; develops personal growth opportunities</li> <li>Accomplishes staff results by communicating job goals and expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Ability to implement a Maintenance Word-Order-System or CMMS</li> <li>Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal</li> <li>Ability to create and drive change and effectively communicate throughout the organization</li> <li>Ability to demonstrate set-up and operational experience of on-line and off-line auxiliary equipment</li> <li>Strong aptitude to equipment technology troubleshooting and repair</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams</li> <li>Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal</li> <li>Ability to create and drive change and effectively communicate throughout the organization</li> <li>Ability to demonstrate set-up and operational experience of on-line and off-line auxiliary equipment</li> <li>Hands-on ability and willingness to troubleshoot and perform mechanics work</li> <li>Experience with maintenance management software including inventory, work-order system, and MRO</li> <li>Ability to implement a Maintenance Word-Order-System</li> <li>Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills, leadership qualities, computer literacy, and ability to supervise are essential for the candidate to perform successfully in this position</li> <li>Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access &amp; MS Project</li> <li>Works with integrity and respect displaying a high degree of tact and diplomacy</li> <li>Willingness to troubleshoot and perform mechanics work</li> <li>Experience with maintenance management software including inventory, work-order system, and MRO</li> </ul> <strong>Qualifications</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Minimum of 10 years of maintenance background, experience and functional knowledge of area supervised.</li> <li>Minimum high school degree with additional college or trade school education preferred.</li> <li>Previous experience directing skilled maintenance personnel</li> <li>Journeyperson or equivalent training</li> <li>Strong aptitude to equipment technology troubleshooting and repair</li> <li>Kaizen and 6-S experience highly desired</li> <li>CMMS to effectively</li> </ul>
