Overview: This position will perform a variety of duties to support Production and Inventory Planning in a defined MRP environment. This includes work order planning, scheduling, capacity planning, transfer order planning and purchase order requisitioning for assigned department. Additional duties will be issuing and preparing material requirement orders for purchasing and inventory, issuing requisitions for new and special materials, revising and rescheduling orders when necessary, and collaborating with Business process areas to achieve Business objectives in MRP environment. This role will be responsible for maintained accurate BOMs, routing, and components specifications in the MRP database.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li dir="LTR">Analyze, interpret, and coordinate material and operations requirements within the MRP environment to achieve business objectives.</li> <li dir="LTR">Identify alternative material requirements to MRP schedule date demands.</li> <li dir="LTR">Collaborate with Business functional areas to implement the workflow, process improvements, and standard operating procedures.</li> <li dir="LTR">Coordinate with Business functional areas to plan and release work orders based on changing demand, material, capacity, freight, and business objectives.&nbsp;Supporting logistics, i.e setting up a trucking</li> <li dir="LTR">Prepare or submit paper or electronic replenishment request as required.</li> <li dir="LTR">Prepare periodic or ad-hoc reports as necessary.</li> <li dir="LTR">Provide periodic backup support for other (Prods/Ops) Scheduling &amp; Inventory Planning department personnel within company guidelines and procedures.</li> <li dir="LTR">Assist with physical inventories as required.</li> <li dir="LTR">Performs duties as assigned by supervisor.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Associates degree in a Business, Accounting, or related field; plus 1 &ndash; 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.</li> <li>Bachelors degree preferred.</li> <li>Strong detail and analytical skills.</li> <li>Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills are required.</li> <li>Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word</li> <li>Must be flexible in an ever-changing environment and have a willingness to be cooperative in day-to-day activities</li> </ul>
