Full-Time

Overview: This position will provide key contributions to the Quality Management System as our established Quality Systems evolve to achieve and maintain COQ objectives. Collaborating with Divisional and Local operations to refine systems to stabilize &amp; refine quality performance through structured, disciplined use of tools including Lean Management Systems and Standard Work.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Use problem-solving tools to improve plant first-time yield rates and meet the Cost of Quality objectives.</li> <li>Develop process controls to drive a reduction in process variation to target control limits.</li> <li>Utilize statistical and DOE tools to measure and refine process control systems.</li> <li>Develop an FMEA and Trouble-shooting guide for quick reference.</li> <li>Develop process controls to be put in place and audited by Quality Technicians.</li> <li>Monitor the on-going performance of systems.</li> <li>Work with the Supply Chain to identify improvement opportunities related to incoming materials and will establish critical-to-quality elements to be validated at the supplier, or upon inspection and release at the manufacturing plant.</li> <li>Position's key quantitative metric used in judging success will be plant COQ, with secondary metrics of On-time deliveries and Safety TIR.</li> <li>Routinely update SOP's, procedures, and training materials to reflect a continual improvement in quality requirements.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred (or Associates Degree plus 4 years practical experience)</li> <li>Minimum of 4 years&rsquo; experience and understanding of a quality production environment.</li> <li>Advanced command of Microsoft Office programs including MS-Excel, MS Word, and MS Power-Point</li> <li>Experience operating in a QMS environment</li> <li>Basic quality system knowledge (Document Controls, Gage R&amp;R, Layered Process Audit, SPC, Sampling plans, ANOVA, DOE)</li> <li>Preferred APQP Tools (FMEA, Control Plan, etc.)</li> <li>Six Sigma or Lean GB certification highly desired or ability to obtain within one year</li> <li>Certified Quality Auditor or certification from ASQ highly desired or ability to obtain within one year.</li> </ul>
