Full-Time

Overview: Works closely with the Master Planner in order to effectively plan loads for on-time shipping.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Utilizes AX TMS, Recon, and load center TMS to build shipments and determine the most cost-effective method of shipping keeping in mind customer requirements.</li> <li>Daily communication with plant staff advising each item/order that needs to be completed to meet the shipping deadlines.</li> <li>Collaborates with Sr. Shipping Lead to ensure weekly shipping/load plan is executed.</li> <li>Analyze freight costs and loads to determine cost savings opportunities.</li> <li>Helps to identify obsolete material and recommend disposition</li> <li>Responsible for bin/location management within the ERP</li> <li>Works with production team to identify inventory gaps</li> <li>Communicates with production team to identify issues in inventory storage and flow</li> <li>Communicates with purchasing to be able to identify possible shortages of inbound raw materials</li> <li>Ability to investigate inventory transactional history for corrective action</li> <li>Manages a team of employees related to the shipping, receiving, warehouse and inventory functions.</li> <li>Owns KPIs related to shipping, receiving, warehousing and related functions.</li> <li>Provide inventory and warehouse reports as requested</li> <li>Analyze plant needs and suggest improvements to inventory and warehouse processes to align with lean principles and best practices.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Work with material handling group to ensure efficient and on-time movement of inventory between locations and warehouses as to not disrupt production, shipping or receiving operations.</li> <li>Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed in all aspects of the job functions and ensure that the team also follows all safety policies and procedures.</li> <li>Works with the supply chain group to help minimize inventory costs</li> <li>Works with quality and buying group to ensure quality product is received and raise issues when there are quality issues so that the vendors are aware</li> <li>Ensure physical movements are recorded properly in the ERP</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related field and 3 or more years of inventory/warehouse management/shipping in manufacturing is required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li> <li>Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred..</li> <li>Ability to analyze data from various systems to get to opportunity/root cause.</li> <li>Understanding of inventory/warehouse management concepts and processes</li> <li>Familiarity with working in an ERP environment (i.e. Dynamics AX, SAP, Oracle, etc.)</li> <li>Knowledge and ability to leverage technology.</li> <li>Can balance between the customer needs and company objectives.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.) required</li> <li>Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles preferred</li> </ul>
