Overview: <p dir="LTR">Are you an experienced supervisor with the ability to provide hands-on guidance in the manufacturing field? If so, you&rsquo;re what Masonite needs for this<strong>&nbsp;3rd&nbsp;shift position</strong>!</p> <p dir="LTR">This position is a great opportunity to be involved in sustaining our<strong>&nbsp;Lean Operating System (Masonite's Revolutionary 4 Tier Lean Shop Floor Plan)</strong>. Working with other shift supervisors and plant managers to leverage lean tools and maintain measurable safety, quality, cost reduction, productivity goals, and objectives.</p>
Responsibilities: <p dir="LTR">You will supervise production activities and delegate work assignments to ensure all key performance indicators (KPIs) are identified, structured and addressed. Use production boards to keep employees enlightened and informed of the department's performance against standards, working with them to correct deficiencies.</p> <p dir="LTR">Part of your job will be to administer labor contracts, plant rules, and other policies and procedures in a fair and equitable manner. Facilitate Gemba walks out on the plant floor, monitoring machine center performance to ensure optimum efficiencies, a practice used by Lean Leaders, and participate in Tier II meetings with senior leadership using appropriate decision-making tools gaining approval before implementing decisions or changes.</p> <p dir="LTR">Previous leadership experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment is desirable, with the ability to communicate and resolve conflict for personnel issues.</p>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred. Associate degree with 10+ years of leadership experience may be commensurate.</li> <li>3 - 5 plus years work experience in a manufacturing environment required</li> <li>3 plus years supervisory experience in a production work environment</li> <li>Must be certified Green Belt or willing to achieve within first 18 months</li> <li>Willing to be a change agent in the organization and demonstrate through actions the ability to change oneself and grow from experiences of success and failure alike</li> <li>Team Leadership; ability to lead associates through coaching and mentoring</li> <li>Highly energized and self-motivated with experience working with teams to implement change</li> <li>Credibility and experience to work effectively and directly with the senior on-site leadership team</li> <li>Strong <span class="WP01">planning/organization</span> &amp; time management skills</li> <li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, utilize process and value stream mapping, and draw valid conclusions.</li> </ul>
