Overview: <p dir="LTR">These team members are a champion for the development and improvement of processes throughout the Architectural division of plants.&nbsp; They leverage their skills and <u>tools</u> to eliminate waste, increase capacity, and drive costs out of the organization.&nbsp; They also serve as leaders to validate and standardize our processes across the division, creating consistency in our performance.&nbsp; Their expertise and analytical skills also serve as the backbone to successfully launch, fly, and land strategic capacity and process improvement projects.</p> <p dir="LTR"><strong>Reporting Relationship: </strong>This position will report to the Masonite Architectural - Director of Engineering</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Actively supports and assists with the execution of safety initiatives and programs across Masonite.&nbsp; All Masonite employees are expected to be leaders in safety performance.</li> <li>Responsible for systematically identifying and implementing improvement initiatives across the Architectural division.</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, including sustainment measures.</li> <li>Utilize Lean tools to eliminate waste, increase capacity, and drive cost out of the process.</li> <li>Facilitates process improvement events with plant operations teams in alignment with the Architectural Operational Efficiency objectives.</li> <li>Orchestrates process validation exercises</li> <li>Acts as a crucial link in capital project pipeline development with accurate data capture and thorough analysis. Also responsible for the development of process specs and CTQs to be used in capital equipment specifications.</li> <li>Executes small capital projects as they pertain to process improvements</li> <li>Provides data analysis and technical support to manufacturing and quality functions.</li> <li>Supports development of SOPs</li> <li>Works with equipment suppliers, Quality Managers, and other division technical staff to stabilize and control manufacturing processes if and when they waver.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Engineering</li> <li>5+ years experience in a <span class="WL21">Process/Manufacturing</span> Engineering position or equivalent experience with Process and Quality Control Engineering in a manufacturing environment.</li> <li>SPC Experience</li> <li>Lean/Six Sigma fluency a plus.</li> <li>Demonstrated capability for implementing and managing capital desired.</li> <li>Demonstrated statistical data analysis skills and technical report writing skills</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to drive change</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to take initiative on a wide range of project activities and situations.</li> <li>Ability to effectively communicate and interact, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of a manufacturing organization.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to manage workload with flexibility and close attention to detail.</li> <li>Must be able to work autonomously.</li> <li>PC proficiency including MS Office. AutoCAD proficiency a plus.</li> <li>Travel up to 50%.</li> </ul>
