Overview: <p dir="LTR">This position will report to the Director of Central Procurement and will be responsible for the tactical execution of centralized <span class="WIA2">planning/replenishment</span> of raw materials for multiple Masonite manufacturing sites. This individual will utilize expert knowledge to plan and purchase goods fully leveraging negotiated supply agreements, determining optimal order quantities and building loads to achieve the best TCO for Masonite. In this role, the individual is expected to achieve inventory targets, while simultaneously building and maintaining strategic relationships with key <span class="WIA2">suppliers. The individual</span>&nbsp;will work in cooperation with manufacturing site inventory specialists and our suppliers to ensure quality, specification and delivery requirements are met.&nbsp; This individual will ensure proper engagement in purchases and projects, resolve escalated key questions from Operations and Sourcing stakeholders and proactively identify and drive mitigation of potential issues to ensure uninterrupted supply.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Complete daily replenishment activities to support raw material requirements at multiple locations.&nbsp; Monitor inventory levels to achieve targeted inventory days on hand.</li> <li>Set and manage planning parameters (contract pricing, safety stock, lead times, forecasts, order quantities MOQs)</li> <li>Generate purchase orders as a planner via Masonite&rsquo;s ERP system.&nbsp; Ensure all materials are available for forecasted and/or confirmed customer order fulfillment according to facility needs.</li> <li>Optimize inventory investment for assigned product lines.</li> <li>Responsible for timely planning of raw materials including forecast communications to suppliers (MRP, Min/max, VMI, Special Order)</li> <li>Effective supplier/customer communications to ensure proper inventory levels, on-time shipments and deliveries of products</li> <li>Work closely with Global Sourcing Team to develop and execute material sourcing strategies</li> <li>Drive total cost of ownership through enforcement and use of national agreements, supplier relationship management on issues and inventory requirements, and active dialog with operations to identify opportunities and risks</li> <li>Manage transition and timing of product offering changes (engineering changes, new product launches, product line obsolescence, vendor changes)</li> <li>Communicate with production facilities regularly to ensure material availability.</li> <li>Ensures that all purchasing and inventory processes are SOX compliant.</li> <li>Maintain delivery confirmations and acknowledgments to ensure timely deliveries, resolving pricing or date issues with the supplier</li> <li>Run, update, and maintain the Purchase Order Status Report and resolutions on backorders.</li> <li>Implement resolutions to any material issues that may affect safety, quality or productivity for all facilities.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p dir="DEFAULT">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR"><strong>Inventory Accuracy</strong></p> <ul> <li>Utilize stock out reports and other tools to identify inventory discrepancies that will impact supply requirements.</li> <li>Responsible to ensure procurement process disciples impacting inventory accuracy.&nbsp; This includes the management of open order files, open RTV request, and supplier pricing.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensure the accuracy of lead time and sourcing tables, supplier contact lists and pricing tables</li> <li>Run inventory count reports to review adjustments and request recounts as needed; identify BOM issues.</li> <li>Work closely with SIOP and manufacturing to maintain the appropriate levels of inventory.</li> </ul> <p dir="LTR"><strong>Supplier Management and Cost Saving</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with sourcing, supplier and plant inventory specialists for resolution of issues pertaining to pricing, on-time deliveries, fill rates, quality and <span class="WIA2">specifications.&nbsp;</span> Support CR Compliance team in root cause identification for supplier service performance tracking.&nbsp;</li> <li>Liaison to ensure collaboration and on-going communication between sourcing replenishment, operations for negotiations and inventory/supply resolutions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Participate in sourcing initiatives and supplier reviews.</li> </ul> <p dir="DEFAULT">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR"><strong>Operational Support and Project management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead and/or participate in sourcing projects and operational projects involving cross-functional team members from multiple facilities.</li> <li>Active participation in key operational calls&nbsp;including but not limited to PCR reviews, weekly operations meetings, and supplier scorecard reviews.</li> </ul> <p dir="LTR">Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements: <p dir="LTR"><strong><u>Education:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>BA/BS required in a related field</li> <li>Master&rsquo;s degree in finance, supply chain management or related field preferred</li> </ul> <p dir="DEFAULT">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR"><strong><u>Experience:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years&rsquo; experience in <span class="WIA2">sourcing,&nbsp;supply</span> chain role or materials control is preferred</li> <li>2-5+ years&rsquo; experience in a manufacturing environment</li> <li>Experience with integrated ERP/MRP system preferred; Microsoft Dynamics <span class="WIA2">AX&nbsp;experience&nbsp;a</span> plus</li> <li>Experience in&nbsp;centralized purchasing/planning preferred</li> </ul> <p dir="DEFAULT">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR"><strong><u>Competencies:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Extensive knowledge of manufacturing environment and strong process knowledge and persistence to drive change management initiatives.</li> <li>Understanding of and experience managing to reduce total cost of ownership. &nbsp;Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with key business partners and work across all levels of the organization.</li> <li>Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently</li> <li>Ability to engage, develop and lead work groups including both internal and external stakeholders</li> <li>Ability to analyze data to determine actions and effective in problem-solving.</li> <li>Previous experience of process improvements utilizing Lean Manufacturing/Kaizen techniques</li> <li>Knowledge of laws, ordinances, and regulators pertaining to corporate purchasing practices</li> <li>Excellent communication and organizational skills with advance competency in Microsoft applications; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.</li> <li>Outstanding <span class="WIA2">organizational/planning</span> and interpersonal skills and attention to detail.</li> </ul>
