Overview: To work in the business by ensuring that processes run smoothly and to work on the business by actively implementing continuous improvement ideas
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide leadership at the Tier 2 Meeting ensuring metrics are reviewed; metric misses are addressed with countermeasures, root cause identification, corrective actions, with assigned responsibility and target completion dates and ensure any support required is identified and verified.</li> <li>Maintain the integrity of Tier 2 Board data and information.</li> <li>Attend Tier 3 Meeting escalating issues requiring additional support and communicating the result of the items escalated along with returning any required information to the Tier 2 team area.</li> <li>Perform regular lean process audits to verify integrity of lean standards.</li> <li>Provide training, demonstration and coaching to assigned process/team on lean tools and methodology.</li> <li>Work with team leads to assess employee talent and developmental needs. Develop and maintain a skills matrix and training plan for all shift employees which is reviewed on a regular basis.</li> <li>Holds regular engagements and GEMBA walks with team leads and operators to facilitate achievement of production requirements, consistency, and teamwork.</li> <li>Provide regular communication, feedback, coaching and ongoing support to team leads.</li> <li>Monitor and ensure a positive work environment for employees.</li> <li>Ensure that an effective communication system is in place through all levels of the process.</li> <li>Ensure that roles and expectations are clearly communicated throughout the process team.</li> <li>Work with team leads to direct production activities in accordance with Master Production Schedule and established priorities, ensuring maximum utilization of assigned resources, machines, personnel, and materials.</li> <li>Working with team leads to evaluate and suggest improvements to functional leadership on production methods to improve productivity and improve scrap.</li> <li>Assists team leads and operators in the interpretation of procedures, methods and correct use of production equipment to ensure procedures are followed</li> <li>Solicit from support functions recommendations for design and development approaches and improvements for tooling and tool utilization, production capable tolerances, equipment, i.e., fixtures, material handling equipment, production gauges and inspection devices as required for new and existing production.</li> <li>Understands and supports quality policies and implements guidelines to assure adherence to quality documents and standards.</li> <li>Responsible for discipline, addressing complaints and resolving issues in accordance with applicable laws and/or company policy.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p dir="LTR"><strong>Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>3 - 5 plus years work experience in a manufacturing environment required</li> <li>3 plus years supervisory experience in a production work environment.&nbsp;</li> <li>Must be certified Green Belt or willing to achieve within first 18 months.</li> <li>Have the patience, perseverance and passion to drive the lean culture across the plant.</li> <li>Willing to be a change agent in the organization and demonstrate through actions the ability to change oneself and grow from experiences of success and failure alike&nbsp;</li> <li>Team Leadership; ability to lead associates through coaching and mentoring.</li> <li>Have the patience, perseverance and passion to drive the lean culture across the plant.</li> <li>Highly energized and self-motivated with experience working with teams to implement change</li> <li>Credibility and experience to work effectively and directly with the senior on-site leadership team</li> <li>Excellent communication and coaching skills at all levels from the shop floor to top management (Strong team leader)</li> <li>Strong <span class="WNF2">planning/organization</span> &amp; time management skills</li> <li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, utilize process and value stream mapping, and draw valid conclusions.&nbsp; Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.</li> <li>Ability to effectively and efficiently lead cross-functionally as well as with suppliers and customers.</li> <li>Ability to think strategically and execute tactically (i.e. deliver results)</li> <li>Analytically minded and data-driven.</li> </ul> <p dir="DEFAULT">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR"><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>2 year degree in a business, technical or engineering curriculum. 4 year degree preferred.</li> </ul>
