Responsibilities: <ul> <li> <p>Review, negotiate and draft a wide variety of complex commercial contracts in support of membership, travel, and insurance operations</p> </li> <li> <p>Conduct research regarding legal and compliance issues across motor club, membership, insurance, travel and a range of products and services</p> </li> <li> <p>Translate complex laws and regulations into practical business solutions to help internal stakeholders drive the completion of business initiatives</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide accurate, timely, and practical advice on legal issues and risks, company policies and business strategy</p> </li> <li> <p>Build strong relationships with internal business partners and work as part of cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization</p> </li> <li> <p>Support continuous improvement of the legal team by identifying and implementing new processes, contract templates, playbooks, and training materials</p> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li> <p>5+ years of law firm or in-house experience</p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledge of the insurance industry preferred</p> </li> <li> <p>J.D. from an accredited law school and current member of the California State Bar in good standing or eligible to practice as a California registered in-house counsel</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to interact well with wide range of internal and external professionals</p> </li> <li> <p>Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision</p> </li> <li> <p>Adept at handling multiple complex matters efficiently and concurrently</p> </li> <li> <p>Creative, resourceful and strategic thinker</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</p> </li> <li> <p>Organized and detail oriented</p> </li> </ul>
