Responsibilities: The successful candidate will support the organization in handling a broad range of insurance related transactions and issues, including compliance and associated filings with state insurance regulations, holding company acts, and agency producer licensing requirements, review and negotiation of complex contracts, and advice on the legal implications of proposed actions and policies. Experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and reinsurance transactions preferred. The successful candidate will join our 20+ lawyers in the corporate legal department as Corporate Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel, located in Costa Mesa, California.
Requirements: <ul> <li>4+ years of experience.</li> <li>Member of the California State Bar.</li> <li>Excellent academic credentials and top law firm and/or in-house experience are required.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to analyze complex contract interpretations and applicability of relevant law, strong writing, presentation, organization and project management skills required.</li> <li>Successful completion of Auto Club pre-employment assessment, background and drug screenings.</li> </ul>
