Overview: <br />The Manager, Content Design &amp; Knowledge Management supports the assessment, development, and creation of business and job-specific training programs. This position is responsible for developing operational training and education objectives that align with overall business goals and strategies, and will ensure the training delivery team and employees have all the necessary business and job-specific knowledge, tools/infrastructure, standards/methods, and resources to drive workforce success and enhance job performance.&nbsp;<br /><br />This role will be responsible for liaising with business leaders to&nbsp;address specific training needs, assess and execute strategies for enhancing employee performance, skill development, and readiness while mapping learning strategy to key business drivers. This role will partner with the delivery team to determine training prioritization throughout AF Group, while delivering on the strategic objectives and success metrics of learning programs that align with AF Group&rsquo;s company goals.<br /><br /> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p> <p>Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards.&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Oversee the content development team responsible for creating, designing, and publishing training content through appropriate curriculum and channels to produce training and education programs</li> <li>Ensure scalability and repeatability of training by utilizing modern tools/technology and multi-channel training programs (interactive classrooms, instructor-led training (ILT), and self-driven)</li> <li>Responsible to balance team workload to optimize the effectiveness and support for all core function delivery teams and non ILT programs</li> <li>Collaborate with business leaders to determine operational training needs and gaps, while educating leadership on L&amp;G strategy and objectives</li> <li>Understands and recognizes performance gaps that can be alleviated by operational training versus other learning methodologies and/or performance interventions and communicates recommendations to leadership&nbsp;</li> <li>Partners with peer training leaders on determining training prioritization and other shared responsibilities</li> <li>Determines and coordinates appropriate communication strategies for operational training and education programs</li> <li>Responsible for demand management, staffing analysis, and budget management</li> <li>Responsible for learning performance analytics, technology &amp; tools administration, vendor/contract oversight, cost center quality trend analysis, and strategic planning</li> <li>Leads working with brand/department leadership and Training Delivery team to establish and execute operational training and education curricula to support day-to-day business operations and develop talent to meet future needs &ndash;&nbsp;<a target="_blank">including co-conducting periodic skills gaps assessments</a></li> <li>Collaborate with training resources across AF Group and Emerging Markets to identify and implement consistent and standardized training tools and methods</li> <li>Partner with business to identify and ensure external programs best fit the need not available internally; further coordinate and track external resources relevancy and delivery success</li> <li>Coordinate with IT to educate staff on utilization of company-issued technology assets and systems through non-ILT</li> <li>Coordinate with EM Organizational Development and Training to support execution of new hire and new manager training programs through appropriate delivery channels</li> <li>Identifies and assess future and current job-specific and business training needs</li> <li>Manages training programs to ensure compliance with the Organization&rsquo;s policies and processes</li> <li>Utilizes instructional design methodologies for consistent and optimal learning</li> <li>Manages the identification, capture, and maintenance of training needs based on long-term business strategies</li> <li>Maintains controlled knowledge items to ensure they are relevant</li> <li>Ensures training and education programs are available and relevant to need, i.e. retire non-relevant programs, in an efficient and effective manner</li> <li>Monitors training materials and programs to ensure information is leveraged where possible and is not redundant unless necessary</li> <li>Keeps abreast of current learning and performance strategies, content design and delivery methods, and techniques</li> <li>Participates in development of annual departmental budget, monitor budget, and identify budget discrepancies. Research cause and make recommendations.</li> <li>Manage external vendor training &amp; content development relationships, technology &amp; tools administration, vendor/contract oversight, and associated costs.</li> <li>Collaborates with corporate organizational development and learning team to ensure alignment of tools, technology, and programs</li> <li>Collaborates with HR to deploy, organize and maintain operational training in the corporate LMS</li> <li>Serve as a member of Business Continuity Planning team &ndash; determine and consolidate training delivery meets the recovery or minimum staff preparedness needs</li> <li>Provides coaching and development to the training team</li> </ul> <br /> <p><a target="_blank"><strong>DIRECTION EXERCISED:</strong></a></p> <ul> <li>Directly supervises exempt and non-exempt staff in accordance with company policies and applicable Federal and State Laws.&nbsp;</li> <li>Responsibilities include but are not limited to effectively interviewing, hiring, terminating, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; supporting and encouraging the engagement process.</li> </ul>
