Overview: <p>The manager of Agency &amp; Policyholder Education will manage the content development and oversee the delivery of training programs for AF Group affiliated agencies and policyholders. This role will be responsible for liaising with brand business leaders to address specific education and training needs for our agency, broker, and policyholders, assess and execute strategies for enhancing policyholder and agent education while mapping learning strategy to key business drivers. This role will lead a team of content developers and trainers responsible for the execution of training delivery and will measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training including quality of delivery, content, and the design aspects around blended learning delivery approaches. This role will partner with Learning and Growth leaders on cross functional projects, while meeting the strategic objectives and success metrics of learning programs which support the edification of our Agents and Policyholders.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Responsible for understanding agency, broker and policyholder needs and can use intake meetings to develop relevant training and educational programming.</li> <li>Collaborate with field business leaders (Business Development, Claim, Loss Control, Premium Audit, Client Relations) to determine agent, broker and policyholder training needs and gaps, while educating leadership on The Agency and Policyholder Education strategy and objectives.</li> <li>Understands and recognizes learning gaps associated with attracting and retaining business, building relationships, or reducing loss exposure that can be alleviated by educating agents, brokers and policyholders versus other learning methodologies and communicates recommendations to business partner leadership.&nbsp;</li> <li>Acts as the primary external training contact for agents, brokers and policyholders for the various courses and development program offerings.</li> <li>Responsible for providing value added fee-based course offerings (i.e., CAWC) and programs (i.e., Lead with Comp) that generate supplemental revenue as well as other non-fee-based programming for policyholders and agents.</li> <li>Works closely with Business Development Consultants and the internal Marketing and Communications teams to develop materials and advertise programs.</li> <li>Partners with peer training leaders across the organization to stay abreast of teaching and learning methodologies and other shared responsibilities.</li> <li>Oversees and develops a team of trainers and content developers responsible for developing and delivering training content, supporting the field in delivering value added education experiences that positively impact new business and retention.</li> <li>Collaborates with designated cost center SME&rsquo;s, or adjunct trainers, to deliver training via ILT, VILT or e-Learning in accordance with L&amp;G facilitation and delivery standards and marketing and communication guidelines.</li> <li>Collaborates in the design, planning, and evaluation of agency and policyholder specific learning and education curricula development</li> <li>Collaborates with the L&amp;G team to stay aligned on various design, delivery, and feedback methodologies to continuously improve and/or evolve overall Agency &amp; Policyholder Team effectiveness and to generate revenue via course offerings and other related educational opportunities.</li> <li>Identifies, coordinates, and maintains adjunct trainers from business development, claim, loss control and premium audit for external training sessions deployment, when needed.</li> <li>Designs, delivers, and evaluates agent onboarding and project training</li> <li>Establishes and drives the approach to develop and organize training material and content into meaningful learning modules/curricula</li> <li>Researches learning best practices and recommends appropriate deployment using various methodologies and approaches such as learning management systems, facilitator guides, participant guides, assessments, skill checks, e-learning modules, job aids, or other relevant learning and reinforcement resources</li> <li>Keeps abreast of current learning and performance strategies, delivery methods, and techniques</li> <li>Assesses instructional effectiveness to ensure the successful transfer of learning, learning comprehension, knowledge retention, core competencies and key behaviors, and make recommendations for improvements when necessary</li> <li>Determines implementation plans, schedules, resource needs, and supporting logistics for delivery of training initiatives</li> <li>Works with department leadership, Organizational Change Management, Subject Matter Experts, and other business leaders to identify and assess learning needs, audience(s), and solutions</li> <li>Defines and measures success metrics and monitor change progress</li> <li>Establishes performance goals and measures to achieve targeted enterprise goals</li> <li>Oversees development of pre-assessments and post-training evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training programs designed to educate, inform, or develop agents and policyholders</li> <li>Participates in development of annual departmental budget</li> <li>Serves as a member of Business Continuity Planning team &ndash; determine and consolidate training, and delivery that meets the recovery or minimum staff preparedness needs</li> <li>Provides coaching and development to training team.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p>EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Education, Learning, Training, Organizational Development, Social Sciences, Organizational Behavior, or related field. Master&rsquo;s degree and/or Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) preferred. Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Seven years of progressive responsibility in a corporate setting in a learning role.&nbsp; Five years experience working with senior leaders, managers, and content experts to provide specific input for course material creation or re-design while ensuring curriculum and learning content is relevant and represents industry leading practice. Three years managing employees/direct reports. Previous experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools required.
