Reviews accounting and financial information, as well as business operations, to determine appropriate exposures and classifications for policyholders&rsquo; employees and subcontractors. Provides assistance with training, development and mentoring of the Premium Audit staff. Participates in Red Carpet visits to agents and policyholders and conducts new business service audits, as necessary.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p> <p>Work is performed in a virtual office and field environment or in the field with minimal hazards. Travel is required, with occasional overnight stays. Ability to lift and carry computer equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.<br /><br /><em><strong>Pay Range</strong>&nbsp;<br /><br />Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate&rsquo;s skills and professional experience, geographic location, market, and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $60,900 and $101,900.</em><br /><br /><br /></p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Performs virtual and in-person field audits.</li> <li>Collects all pertinent data and documents needed to calculate policyholder&rsquo;s premium liability.</li> <li>Interviews policyholders to obtain further information concerning premiums, e.g., payroll and personnel records, and communicates completed audit information with contact and ensures results are understood.</li> <li>Contacts agents to discuss audit results prior to invoicing on large accounts.</li> <li>Provides information to policyholders in preparation for Workers' Compensation audits.</li> <li>Reviews policy file information by referring to workers' compensation manuals, class codes and rules, and prepares for audit in determining insureds&rsquo; correct operations.</li> <li>Notifies business unit of necessary changes in entities, officers, partners, etc. to ensure that policy is properly endorsed.</li> <li>Perform re-audits when disputes or discrepancies arise on original audit.</li> <li>May be required to testify in court regarding premium audits.</li> <li>Represent company at agent meetings to promote corporate product.</li> <li>Responsible for developing and conducting training programs.</li> <li>Responsible for providing mentoring to Premium Audit Consultants including ride-a-longs, one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, orientation and overall consultant development.</li> <li>Maintains confidentiality of information processed.</li> <li>Works with minimum supervision.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><em>This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Requirements: <p><strong>EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting, finance or related field.&nbsp;</li> <li>Combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.&nbsp;</li> <li>Completion of APA designation or significant progress toward or completion of CPCU.</li> <li>Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy, is required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:<br /><br /></strong></p> Senior Premium Audit Consultant:<br /> <ul> <li>A minimum of&nbsp;<strong>five years'</strong>&nbsp;relevant premium auditing experience which provides the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>2 years of Field Auditing preferred.</li> </ul> <br /><br />Premium Audit Consultant II:<br /> <ul> <li>With proper education credentials, three years' relevant insurance experience which provides the necessary&nbsp;skills, knowledge and abilities.</li> <li>Two years' Premium Audit experience. &nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates considerable knowledge of business operations and workers' compensation insurance classification codes and rules.</li> <li>Demonstrates ability to read, analyze, and interpret policy documents, technical and financial information, and procedure manuals.</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to train other auditors, including riding with other experienced auditors to evaluate their progress.</li> <li>Knowledge of current and future practices, trends and information affecting the marketplace.</li> <li>Effective presentation skills in a variety of settings.</li> <li>Ability to initiate insurance transactions in compliance with all policies, procedures, legal and ethical guidelines.</li> <li>Ability to negotiate while establishing a personal rapport and maintaining an effective working and client relationship, both internally and externally.</li> <li>Ability and proficiency in the use of computers and the use of company standard software.</li> <li>Ability to quickly and accurately work with many variables to arrive at premium calculations.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities, establish workflows and meet necessary deadlines.</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality.</li> <li>Ability to work with minimum supervision.</li> <li>Ability to perform other assignments at locations outside the office.</li> </ul> <br /><br /> <p><em>The qualifications listed above are intended to represent the minimum education, experience, skills, knowledge and ability levels associated with performing the duties and responsibilities contained in this job description.&nbsp;</em></p> <p><em>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
