Have you created 3D models in support of construction projects using Tekla Structures or other BIM software?&nbsp;If the answer is, &ldquo;Yes!&rdquo; then we have an opportunity that will excite you!</p> <p>AME Engineering is currently looking or a highly motivated Steel Detailer, preferably with previous experience using Tekla Structures or SDS/2, to join our team based in our Dallas office. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Accurately interpret construction documents.</li> <li>Develop fabrication level information early in the design process based upon feedback and coordination with internal engineering and construction team members.</li> <li>Coordination of models from various trades (HVAC, MEP, etc.) for clash detection and coordination.</li> <li>Create 3D models utilizing Tekla from early design information and construction documents.</li> <li>Prepare and modify shop drawings including erection, assembly, and part drawings for the purposes of fabrication utilizing Tekla 3D modeling software.</li> <li>Manipulate existing models and drawings as needed.</li> <li>Check models through in-model review and report creation.</li> <li>Continuing education through a combination of in-house and company-funded external training.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Associate degree in computer aided drafting or related field.</li> <li>1-3 years of Steel Detailing experience in Commercial Industrial, Manufacturing, and similar project types.</li> <li>Knowledge of 3D modeling software, such as Tekla Structures or SDS/2.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Self-starter, motivated with the ability to start and finish a project on time.</li> <li>Ability to organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.</li> <li>Programming experience such as Visual Studio or Python is a plus, experience with APIs is also a plus.</li> <li>Computer skills: 3D Modeling Software (Tekla, SDS/2, or similar), proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook.</li> </ul>
