Responsibilities: <p><strong>You will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Be on top of all maintenance issues and security issues. You will attend to the day to day requirements of the APEXA platform by monitoring performance and scanning the network for security issues. &nbsp;You&rsquo;ll be the first point of contact if an issue arises.</li> <li>Be proactive. &nbsp;This is one of the most important attributes we need in our System Support Engineer. You&rsquo;ll have to always be two steps ahead of the platform, ensuring the infrastructure is in place to prevent issues from arising.</li> <li>Be collaborative. &nbsp;Our System Support Engineer will work with multiple stakeholders internally and externally to build and maintain the APEXA platform infrastructure.</li> <li>Be a subject matter expert. We need someone to learn our infrastructure inside and out. While we expect our new System Support Engineer to understand the frameworks and database we&rsquo;re working with, we also need someone who loves to learn and be the point person on their subject.</li> <li>Be on call. &nbsp;The maintenance and upkeep of our network is the top priority for the Systems Support Engineer role. Because of this, you are expected to be regularly available for support outside of business hours.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>So, how do we know you are our next Senior Systems Administrator? You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Education and experience. &nbsp;You&nbsp;have a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience coupled with 5 - 7 years in an IT Support role</li> <li>Technical expertise. &nbsp;You&rsquo;ll have hands-on experience with: <ul> <li>.NET</li> <li>SQL Database</li> <li>Cloud</li> <li>Web environment management and networking</li> </ul> </li> <li>Curiosity. &nbsp;Along the theme of being proactive, our new System Support Engineer needs to be curious. You need to always be asking why and how an issue is arising.</li> <li>A team oriented attitude. You&rsquo;ll need to build, maintain and develop solid working relationships with internal and external teams.</li> <li>Elite communication skills. This role requires excellent client-focused written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>An entrepreneurial spirit. As part of a small team, you&rsquo;ll be expected to actively seek out change instead of waiting for it to happen.
