Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Maintain machines assigned (lube oil, coolant, cleaning, etc.)</li> <li>Sets up mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.</li> <li>Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&amp;T).</li> <li>Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations</li> <li>Adhere to all quality policies and meets company quality goals of on-time delivery of completed parts without compromising quality, safety or equipment life.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Previous experience with Proto Track Mills</li> <li>Proven ability to read blueprints</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required:</strong> High School diploma or GED. One (1) year experience as a Machinist in a precision machine shop</p> <p><strong>Preferred:</strong> Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Machine Tool Technology, or related subject-area; or Trade School Certification in a related discipline or Apprenticeship. Two (2) years&rsquo; experience as a journeyman machinist in a precision machine shop with CAD/CAM experience<br /><br /></p> <p><strong>Physical Requirements and Work Environment: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Standing for the majority of the day. Walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, stooping, handling, reaching, lifting and pulling are necessary throughout the day as well</li> <li>The work environment for this position is that of an industrial machine shop/production facility. Employees may experience loud noises (at varying levels), sharp edges (tooling and material), oil, and coolant, throughout the workday. Eye protection is required.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
