Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Design and engineer PV systems for residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects using PVSyst software.</li> <li>Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine the suitability of locations for PV installations.</li> <li>Perform electrical load calculations, system sizing, and energy production estimations to meet project requirements and local regulations.</li> <li>Create detailed electrical designs, including system layouts, single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and interconnection plans.</li> <li>Collaborate with Atwell program teams as well as cross-functional teams, including project managers, construction teams, and clients, to ensure effective project delivery.</li> <li>Provide technical expertise and support during project development, construction, and commissioning phases.</li> <li>Perform electrical modeling and simulations using PVSyst software to optimize system performance, assess energy yield, and predict system behavior under different conditions.</li> <li>Conduct performance analysis and troubleshooting of existing PV systems to identify and resolve electrical issues.</li> <li>Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to PV system design, electrical codes, and standards.</li> <li>Participate in project meetings, present technical information to stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.</li> <li>Collaborate with procurement teams to select appropriate electrical components, equipment, and materials for PV installations.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with Atwell Standards and relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations throughout the design and implementation process.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.</li> <li>Proven experience (5+ years) in PV system design, including experience with PVSyst software.</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, PV technology, and system design best practices.</li> <li>Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, IEC) for PV system design and electrical safety.</li> <li>Proficiency in using PVSyst software for system modeling, simulation, and performance analysis.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and analyze data to optimize system design and performance.</li> <li>Experience with AutoCAD or similar software for electrical design and layout.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.</li> <li>Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and time management skills.</li> </ul>
