Overview: This is a <strong>work-from-home</strong> opportunity (<strong>CST</strong>), supporting the <strong>Pet Category</strong> &nbsp; <br /><br />The Category Manager provides a high level of support for the implementation of Category Management and other related business insights initiatives within a designated customer.&nbsp; <br /><br />You will regularly meet with multi-division retailers in the market along with business managers to drive category management initiatives.&nbsp; As well as manage major projects or programs in the areas of space, merchandising, pricing requirements in assigned categories and have a long-term effect on business results.
Responsibilities: Essential Functions:<br /> <ul> <li>Analyze complex data and provide thoughtful, proactive guidance and recommendations that address the 4-Ps (product, pricing, promotion, placement).</li> <li>Lead and direct the category review process through the 3-call process while engaging with cross-functional teams to provide a complete category management solution.</li> <li>Build compelling sales presentations using syndicated, shopper and other sources of data that provide in-depth analysis and solutions that address current business issues.</li> <li>Understand client KPIs that drive profit and sales and deliver data reports to scorecard or validate progress.</li> <li>Work closely and often with assigned clients and business managers by setting up regular meetings to become a trusted advisor.</li> <li>Provide follow up and summarize results of analysis; create case studies and success stories.</li> <li>Attend sales calls at assigned customers.</li> <li>Meeting the physical requirements &ndash; listed below</li> <li>Other duties as assigned &nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: Education Requirements:<br /> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree (preferred)</li> <li>Related work experience can be substituted for the educational requirement</li> <li>Category Management Certification Preferred Work Experience Requirements:</li> <li>3-5 years related work experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:</li> <li>Must possess a solid working knowledge of the CPG industry (data sources, tools, concepts, etc.).
