Overview: The Director, Business Intelligence, is responsible for the direction and development of team members to ensure deliverables are timely, accurate, and effective in helping to achieve objectives of company, clients, and/or customers. Build relationships and foster communication between associates, clients, and customers. Facilitate development of team members to encourage career growth and retention. Manage the functionality of business solutions to deliver best-in-class tools to assist in analysis. Identify organizational white space opportunities for both new and existing clients and customers.
Responsibilities: <ul><li>Essential Functions: </li><li>Recruit, train, supervise, evaluate, and develop associates to increase knowledge, skills, and quality of outputs. </li><li>Foster associate engagement with regular team meetings to drive connectivity, discuss responsibilities, encourage best practice sharing, etc. </li><li>Build, maintain, facilitate positive relationships and open communication with client(s), customer(s), and other Acosta associates. </li><li>Provide leadership and support for the team by leveraging business processes to ensure efficient operation of the organization, while providing deliverables that support positive results for our client(s) and customer(s). </li><li>Create, maintain, disseminate, and/or generate excitement for tools to facilitate everyday business management and opportunity analysis across team(s) to support client(s) and/or customer(s) objectives. </li><li>Assist in the identification and closure of Acosta, client(s), and customer(s) opportunities. </li><li>Assign projects to appropriate individuals and ensure timely and accurate completion. </li><li>Support and champion key organizational initiatives. </li><li>Participate in task forces and other miscellaneous projects as requested by the leadership team. </li><li>Responsible for managing towards revenue goals, identifying new business opportunities, closing gaps. </li><li>Meeting the physical requirements – listed below </li><li>Other duties as assigned  </li></ul>
Requirements: <ul><li>Education Requirements: </li><li>Bachelors Degree </li><li>Category Management certification preferred </li><li>Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement Work Experience Requirements: </li><li>5 – 8 years related work experience </li><li>Up to one year supervisor/management experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements: </li><li>Must possess a solid working knowledge of the CPG industry, with a strength in the area responsible for managing (including data sources, tools, concepts, etc.). Must be proficient in industry tools utilized by assigned team and MS Office tools. </li><li>Leads and coaches others in the optimal direction and execution against analytic deliverables. </li><li>Leads others in the execution of projects and initiatives, clearly communicating goals/expectations, assigning tasks to others, and setting effective measures of results. </li><li>Demonstrates advanced skill in plan preparation, delivering effective solutions. Able to breakdown larger problems into smaller components and potential resolutions. </li><li>Customizes and adapts communication and discussion to appeal to the specific interest, need and level of audience. </li><li>Builds and maintains effective relationships with stakeholders, gaining trust and respect, leading to optimal execution of results. </li><li>Prioritize initiatives and resources based on the strategic priorities of the organization. </li><li>Able to clearly define and communicate roles and responsibilities to others. </li><li>Able to build strategic objectives with senior leadership identifying areas of growth in specific areas of responsibility.
