Overview: <p>The Director will lead a team of Space Planning professionals to provide planogram development support to the Merchandising department of a major retailer.</p> <p>This individual is responsible for managing the client relationship process ownership and execution, and the hiring, training, and professional development of the space planning team. The goal of this team is to ensure that planograms accurately reflect assortment decisions, visual merchandising standards, performance metric targets, and safety standards. Planograms are to be analyzed for sales, profitability and inventory productivity, meet high-quality standards, able to be executed without issues in stores, and balanced for the customer experience, store labor efficiencies, merchandise strategy and visual considerations.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Ensure Client Shelving Standards are current and available on Space Technology site and communicated on a regular basis to our Space Management team nationally.</li> <li>National Client Space Manager is to ensure when new items become available that accurate product dimensions and images are posted into our product library.</li> <li>Required to create and monitor any client national projects on Acosta&rsquo;s Space Management site and to recap and deliver updates and final results in an Executive Summary to our clients.</li> <li>Engage with client(s) to fully understand their needs and requirements and to devise a solution proposal which would meet client(s) expectation. This role needs to represent the best Acosta Space Management has to offer and also be the voice of client to Acosta to assure their needs will be met.</li> <li>Partner with CSD, NCIMs and Sr. Management to establish processes to create account specific MBO&rsquo;s, communicated to markets, scorecard execution, and refine priorities.</li> <li>NCSM&rsquo;s are required to attend and participate in any client national sales meetings were applicable.</li> <li>Communicate shelving issues or success stories to CSD and/or client on a regular basis.</li> <li>Hold minimum bi-weekly meetings with NCIM and CSD associated with their assigned client(s) to review national shelving initiatives and progress updates.</li> <li>NCSM should be available to consult with our SM team on local market customer presentations.</li> <li>Utilize and understand IRI and ACNielsen syndicated scanning data used to generate the information necessary for space management systems.</li> <li>Create and present impactful, insight driven analytical consulting based on client business strategies and/or issues to key Acosta team members and client partners on ongoing basis.</li> <li>Proactively develop and nurture relationships with assigned client(s) and respond to their strategic needs through insight creation and delivery.</li> <li>Coordinate proactive &ldquo;best in class&rsquo; knowledge sharing amongst National Client Space Manager team.</li> <li>Manage National Client Space Managers and Space Technologist.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.</li> <li>Minimum 3 years marketing in the CPG industry required.</li> <li>Must present a professional image and be able to represent the company in a professional manner.</li> <li>Must be willing to travel if necessary.</li> <li>Must have prior work experience in data analysis and space management systems and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the technology required to operate and maintain such systems.</li> <li>Must have a high degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications including spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, e-mail, database management, and Prospace, Apollo, or Spaceman.</li> <li>Must possess excellent written and verbal communication.</li> </ul>
