Overview: <p>The Communications Advisor will be a key member of the Internal Communications team at Acosta, the sales and marketing powerhouse behind most of the trusted brands seen in stores everyday.</p> <p>The individual in this role will be responsible for enhancing our internal communications initiatives via all mediums to improve how we connect with various internal stakeholders. The individual will work with the Internal Communications team to extend the reach of associate communications. Specific duties include leading the content creation, writing/editing and execution for the company&rsquo;s core internal channels (intranet, employee newsletters, and syndicated communication materials); and general support to Internal Communications, as needed.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Identify, write, review and edit content to ensure compliance with established brand and style guidelines.</li> <li>Source, develop and publish content across internal communications channels.</li> <li>Serve as the general webmaster for the intranet and work closely with other team members and other departments to create and execute appropriate strategies for intranet content.</li> <li>Create and execute communication strategies to support corporate recognition programs; IT initiatives or product rollouts; emergency communications, and others as assigned;</li> <li>Manage and procure distribution lists to support all internal communications initiatives.</li> <li>Contribute to and help maintain the annual editorial content calendar.</li> <li>Support and/or execute internal communications tactics via a range of technologies, including standard email, an email management tool, SharePoint Online (intranet), survey tools, web-based meeting software, and other tools as appropriate.</li> <li>Actively engage with the Internal Communications team on department strategy.</li> <li>Coordinate with freelance staff, as necessary</li> <li>Maintain calendar of key meetings</li> <li>Participate enthusiastically in day-to-day team operations and activities</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>A bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent in a related area such as journalism or communications, multimedia communications, integrated communications, and a minimum of four years&rsquo; experience working in a related field, preferably in a corporate communications environment with constituents in multiple locations.</li> <li>Superior written and oral communication skills</li> <li>Able to listen, ask appropriate questions, and use judgment to produce communication plans and deliverables</li> <li>Familiarity with professional communications standards, including writing style guides and corporate communication best practices</li> <li>Utmost attention to detail, excellent organizational skills</li> <li>Ability to simultaneously balance multiple projects with competing priorities while maintaining a positive attitude</li> <li>Creativity and innovation competencies</li> <li>Proven team player with strong interpersonal skills</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in SharePoint and the entire Microsoft Office suite</li> </ul>
