Overview: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide for the integration of syndicated scanning data and/or demographic information into graphical presentations and/or category management business reviews across functions and within the assigned marketing area.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li> <p>Coordinate with the Branch Marketing Manager and/or the Category Development Manager to implement strategic plans developed by sales and marketing within designated departments for the branch.</p> </li> <li> <p>As directed, create business reviews and presentations dealing with specific needs as they pertain to category management, top-line reports, and &ldquo;New Principal Interviews&rdquo;.</p> </li> <li> <p>Manage resource information for the marketing area to include Nielsen, IRI, and other types of syndicated data including Spectra demographics.</p> </li> <li> <p>Analyze and create base marketing presentations for assigned principals represented by Acosta across the branch market.</p> </li> <li> <p>Assist Business Managers, Principals and/or trade contacts, marketing, and MIS departments in order to fulfill requirements as needed within the branch.</p> </li> <li> <p>Participate in local market presentations and assist in the operation of presentation equipment (computers, LCD Panel, overhead, etc.) as required.</p> </li> <li> <p>Coordinate efforts and communications with the region&rsquo;s marketing hub to ensure all information and analytical requirements for the branch are being met.</p> </li> <li> <p>Assist in the creation of all major marketing presentations within the designated department(s) including account and principal business reviews, new item introductions, category reviews, new principal reviews, etc. for use within the branch.</p> </li> <li> <p>Responsible for the use and understanding of IRI and Nielsen syndicated scanning data, Spectra Demographic data, and systems utilized to generate the information for category reviews.</p> </li> <li> <p>Routinely visit customers in the market with Business Managers. Assist in conducting store audits to view merchandising and inventory requirements in assigned categories</p> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li> <p>Must be computer literate with a degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications including spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, e-mail, fax, database management, Nielsen Workstation, NITE, Spectra (in offices where applicable) and IRI&rsquo;s Data Server.</p> </li> <li> <p>Must be able to effectively communicate with others, must be able to speak, hear and sit for long periods of time. Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, lift and stand on a daily basis. Must have good vision, dexterous use of both hands and be able to operate a calculator, computer, printer, fax machine, telephone and copy machine.</p> </li> <li> <p>Must have a college degree or three years experience in marketing analysis (or previous experience as a Category Analyst) with specific knowledge of IRI and/or Nielsen systems, data and their uses in building category business reviews.</p> </li> <li> <p>Needs to possess ability to make presentations coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.</p> </li> </ul>
