Full-Time

Overview: The Purchasing Specialist II will provide supply chain direction and project ideas to other purchasing agents, also responsible for sourcing, and a strong backup for the Project Managers. Working closely with the Sales Team and Project Managers ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget with an annual project value up to $1 Million.
Responsibilities: <ol> <li> <p>The Purchasing Specialist II will oversee the day to day sourcing and purchasing requests.</p> </li> <li> <p>Involved with identifying departmental risks and implementing new ideas to improve processes.</p> </li> <li> <p>Assists with RFP process on major projects and initiatives valued at less than $1 Million per RFP.</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintains the Order Reports and insures all accounting questions are answered in a timely fashion.</p> </li> <li> <p>Mitigates discrepancies caused by the imbalance of the order report between vendor and/or sales representatives.</p> </li> <li> <p>Attends regular purchasing and Project Management meetings.</p> </li> <li> <p>Assist with training new hires on all systems, processes, policies and procedures.</p> </li> <li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li> </ol>
Requirements: <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor&rsquo;s Preferred</p> </li> <li> <p>3+ years&rsquo; experience in purchasing operations preferred working with a purchasing system.</p> </li> <li> <p>1+ years&rsquo; supervisor / management experience preferred.</p> </li> <li> <p>Proven ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.</p> </li> <li> <p>Proven experience multi-tasking and managing various projects at the same time.</p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledgeable and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong analytical and organization skills.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to problem solve.</p> </li> </ul>
