Overview: The Client Development Director manages the relationship with Acosta Clients through influencing strategies, objectives, and plans while achieving Acosta revenue targets by exceeding Clients KPI’s and expanding Acosta enterprise services to meet internal Acosta Objectives. Drives key initiatives that deliver mutually beneficial results for our clients and Acosta. This position comprises a high amount of client engagement responsibility including establishing key executive relationships, shaping client problems and defining and proposing solutions. This role will serve as the primary point of contact to Acosta clients. Coordinate strategic planning and tactical execution for client’s objectives. Seek to find available funding through brand or trade to drive consumer initiatives that deliver mutually beneficial results for our clients and Acosta.
Responsibilities: <ul><li>Own and develop strong relationships with assigned clients. </li><li>Maintain consistent pipeline of business to meet or exceed quota attainment. </li><li>Develop and leverage relationships to grow clients in assigned regions. </li><li>Assess prospective and current clients with their potential needs. </li><li>Establish effective communications with appropriate executives to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions. </li><li>Develop and deliver proposals to support the new ongoing client engagement cycle. </li><li>Develop annual sales plan and move those plans to execution to include focus against the Client’s top KPI’s. </li><li>Deliver Acosta revenue and profit focusing on growth. Drive the internal financial management processes while focusing on selling incremental client services. </li><li>Own client relationship and be accountable for overall client results. </li><li>Other duties as assigned.  </li></ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelors Required</li> <li>4+ years consumer packaged goods industry experience (Sales, Insights or Mktg)</li> <li>2+ years of Acosta Leadership: CBM, Department Manager, Team Leader, VP</li> <li>1+ years working across multiple functional areas</li> <li>Proven analytical ability with strong attention to detail, with experience managing a budget</li> <li>Demonstrated competence in the core Client Development, Role-Based Competencies &ndash; Interpersonal; Analytical; and Achievement Oriented.</li> <li>Understand assigned customers&rsquo; strategies/roadmaps, organization, operations, shoppers, capabilities and best practices</li> <li>Self-motivated; self-starter; strong leadership and management ability.</li> <li>Strong presentation skills and interpersonal skills including the ability to conduct presentations and negotiate.</li> <li>Prioritize multiple demands (retailer, manufacturer, Acosta) simultaneously and influence Associates for results.</li> <li>Assertive, creative, team player, and proven sense of urgency.</li> <li>Proficiency with computers including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and a working knowledge of Acrobat Adobe, scanning, PhotoShop, etc</li> </ul>
