Overview: <p><strong>Open to Texas and Los Angeles, CA. After travel restrictions are lifted the role has high</strong>&nbsp;<strong>travel expectation of 50-75%.</strong></p> <p>This role is expected to master the core retail work necessary to help solve the issues that negatively affect the On-Shelf-Availability of Gillette and Venus Brands. The primary responsibility includes managing a field team to increase on shelf availability, market share, and profit for P&amp;G Gillette.</p> <p>This role will manage a team of 10 RAM&rsquo;s (Retail Availability Managers) by providing direction and insights utilizing a data driven dashboard,&nbsp;<strong>while handling a small territory of their own.</strong></p> <p>This role is responsible for the management and development of team members, while working to achieve superior results and world-class retail execution&nbsp;<strong>.</strong></p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li> <p>Calls on direct coverage customers at a store and regional level and develops productive working relationships with the customer&rsquo;s Senior Managers and Asset Protection Managers in a way that leads to measurable results in the areas of merchandising, distribution, shelving, in-stock, on shelf availability and shrink</p> </li> <li> <p>Develops strong collaborative relationships with Store Managers, HBC Managers, &amp; Regional Loss Prevention Managers to help open doors and remove barriers to retail execution of P&amp;G plans</p> </li> <li> <p>Identify best practices, barriers, and help needed and bring recommendations to P&amp;G and Acosta to continuously improve results</p> </li> <li> <p>Engage &amp; envision retailers on Open Sales benefits and On Shelf Availability for Gillette &amp; Venus: Achieve 95% Open Sales and 95% In-Stock in 100% of stores</p> </li> <li> <p>Serve as the subject matter expert and advocate, specifically for the P&amp;G - Grooming category product lines for his team to train and further develop the RAM team</p> </li> <li> <p>Responsible for owning a group of stores and performing all duties required of RAM; (5 stores from months 1 to 6, up to 10 stores by end of year 1</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with direct reports on how to understand and interpret data for the best approach to be taken in retail using performance data to drive discussions at each store to highlight opportunities and areas of concern</p> </li> <li> <p>Conduct weekly conference calls with the field team and engage in weekly one-on-one meetings with each direct report sharing direction, successes and best practices</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide leadership and direction to coach the team on how to approach various obstacles they face in retail and where to prioritize their time</p> </li> <li> <p>Works closely and frequently in the field along with Acosta&rsquo;s dedicated Shave Team and Merchandizers (Retail Sales Manager, Unit Manager and RCM) to ensure most optimal store coverage process, and resolve instore operational issues associated with replenishment of the shelf. Elevate systematic solutions/needs to customer team to improve coverage plan priorities</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure the RAM team is meeting with the correct influencers and decision makers at each store and are being engaged to agree to plans to drive on shelf availability and correct product placement, onhands while helping to control and overcome shrink concerns</p> </li> <li> <p>Professionally engage the P&amp;G Gillette regularly on conference calls, emails and in market as requested</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide P&amp;G Gillette with information on local competitive activity, customer feedback/needs, and market place successes/challenges to identify similar client/customer opportunities</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with the internal business insights team to ensure reporting is timely and accurate</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with Retail Business Managers on all major retail initiatives (new product introductions, selling drives, contests, etc.)</p> </li> <li> <p>Create Power Point presentations documenting successes, trends and progress of the field team</p> </li> <li> <p>Complete special projects as requested</p> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Experience Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree Preferred or Work Experience equivalent to a 4 Year Degree Program from an accredited College or University</p> </li> <li> <p>Must have 7+ years related retail experience with Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Retail management experience</p> </li> <li> <p>Expertise in leading teams, building capability, delivering training and improving the performance</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Builds diverse, collaborative working relationships &ndash; influences internally and externally, collaborates effectively and enthusiastically for win-win solutions</p> </li> <li> <p>Thinks and Acts Decisively - able to sort through data identify issues to make informed and timely decisions</p> </li> <li> <p>Leads: Proven Leadership to make the most of every situation by creating competitive advantage we have in our people to deliver results both collectively and individually</p> </li> <li> <p>Embraces Change: Initiates and manages meaningful change.
