Overview: The Retail Business Manager is primarily responsible for the management and development of retail conditions for an assigned market.  They are responsible for representing Acosta and our principal through the management of retail store coverage, set coverage, or coverage of special projects, and executing objectives as set forth by the principal, Business Manager, or the Sales Manager to achieve superior in-store results in territories or stores.
Responsibilities: <ul><li>Deliver Sales Fundamentals (Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, and Pricing) across agreed to retail priorities. </li><li>Ensure Client Sales Objectives are followed by the Retail Selling Organization. </li><li>Pro-actively communicate with principal. </li><li>Assist Business Managers and multi-function resources (Marketing, Sales Technology, etc.) to communicate customer needs, objectives, and future plans to retail sales organization. </li><li>Effectively and properly use technology including RW3, communication of retail priorities, and coverage analyses to have an effective feedback and measurement system. </li><li>Request and analyze specific retail conditions information (through RW3, surveys, etc.) to develop data-based analyses and improve retail in-store presence results. </li><li>Perform special assignments as requested.</li></ul>
Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor of Arts Degree or equivalent work experience. </li><li>Prior food broker, retail and set responsibility experience required. </li><li>Prior supervisory experience is required. </li><li>Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and sales skills. </li><li>Must be able to effectively communicate with others. </li><li>Must be able to operate a calculator, fax machine, telephone, paper cutter, copier, hammer screwdriver, drill, case cutter, hand truck, and pallet jack. </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license and must be able to drive a car for extended periods of time. </li><li>Must be willing and able to work in extremely cold environmental conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores.
