Overview: Responsible for the management of the assigned principals&rsquo; business (division and/or geographic), within designated &ldquo;customer accounts&rdquo;. Primary responsibility includes increasing sales and market share of the brands represented, while earning a profit for our manufacturers and Acosta.Responsible for representing Procter &amp; Gamble at direct buying and/or indirect Merch Headquarters. Typical customers will exceed $10-$20MM in annual direct GIV (Gross Invoice Value). While all decisions are made at the sole discretion of the customer, the P&amp;G Broker representative will be responsible for developing and executing business plans, meeting and exceeding financial and sales objectives (Gross Invoice Value, Net Outside Sales, Contribution). This role will be ultimately responsible for retail conditions at their customer with stores in coverage. This role will also be responsible for communicating retail plans and priorities they sell to the retail coverage organization. Responsibilities: <ul> <li></li> <li>Deliver principals&rsquo; objectives to include volume and sales fundamentals (merchandising, assortment, pricing and shelving) goals at the assigned customers at the lowest cost</li> <li>Develop a Customer Business Plan that will deliver the principals&rsquo; business priorities</li> <li>Personally, call on all decision-makers at the customer to sell business plans, programs and concepts that improve long-term business results</li> <li>Developing and selling winning business plans that improve results and share against key business fundamentals <ul> <li>Distribution: Base, new item and conversions</li> <li>Shelving: Shelf space and position</li> <li>Merchandising: Feature and display</li> <li>Pricing: Delivering against category pricing corridors</li> <li>Stewardship: P&amp;G Trade Fund Management, assets and policy</li> </ul> </li> <li>Achieve superior in-store presence at assigned customers</li> <li>The role is accountable for retail conditions at the assigned customers</li> <li>Develop retail coverage plans/priorities from initiatives sold into HQ</li> <li>If necessary, call on customer operations leaders (direct and indirect customers)</li> <li>Communicate and collaborate with retail coverage and retail project organizations insuring plan clarity and retail executional excellence</li> <li>Develop productive working relationships with key customer contacts</li> <li>Playing a key role with P&amp;G resources in developing Joint Business Plans</li> <li>Leveraging/Utilizing Broker and/or P&amp;G analytical tools and data to develop consumer and category insights</li> <li>Leveraging/utilizing Broker and/or P&amp;G multi-functional resources (i.e. Product Supply, Marketing, Consumer Market Knowledge, Technology, Finance) to grow sales, share, improve execution and service</li> <li>Proactive communication with P&amp;G Managers to include scheduled reports and meetings</li> <li>Deliver results against sales and financial objectives to include growing consumption</li> <li>Share across key fundamentals &ndash; Distribution, Shelf Space/Position, Feature, Display</li> <li>Pricing corridors and Stewardship (trade funds, assets, and policy)</li> <li>Meeting the physical requirements &ndash; listed below</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: Education Requirements:<br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred or equivalent work experience</li> </ul> Work Experience Requirements:<br /> <ul> <li>3-5 years of external selling experience in the CPG industry</li> <li>History of exceeding sales objectives</li> <li>results oriented</li> </ul> Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:<br /> <ul> <li>Proficient in Microsoft software: PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook and thorough knowledge of web-based applications.</li> <li>Must have excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).</li> <li>Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously</li> <li>Willingness to travel</li> </ul>
