Overview: The Human Resources Generalist directs, performs and coordinates employment activities and HR administrative functions with the goal of ensuring compliance, engaging positive employee relationships and promoting an employee-oriented, engaged, mission-driven and ethical culture emphasizing empowerment, teamwork, productivity and furthering the vision of organization.<br /> <ul> <li></li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Monitors, tracks, communicates, and follows up on employee Leave of Absence</li> <li>Advises and consults with supervisors on Employee Relations, conduct investigations, with the assistance of DHR</li> <li>Performance Management Administration and assists managers with performance issues</li> <li>Acts as Safety Administrator - Oversee Adjoin Safety Program, ensures compliance</li> <li>Coordinates OSHA reporting with HR Director and local offices</li> <li>Oversees Worker&rsquo;s Compensation Administration</li> <li>Conducts Training for Employees and Managers regarding Safety and HR topics</li> <li>Processes and oversees Terminations, with the assistance of DHR</li> <li>Recommend new programs, processes, or initiatives to improve Employee Engagement</li> <li>Benefits Administrator - education for employees, managing employee benefits enrollments, and ensuring compliance</li> <li>Maintains Electronic Employee Personnel Files</li> <li>Creates, implements, and promotes the Adjoin Wellness Program. Directs wellness activities with the assistance of the HR Coordinator to support overall Adjoin Wellness Program</li> <li>Oversees DMV Pull Program and works with the HR Coordinator to complete enrollments, audits, and reviews. Follows up and takes appropriate action for areas of concern with supervisors and employees, elevates to HRD as needed</li> <li>Acts as an Adjoin CORI Representative</li> <li>Responsible for HR Quality Assurance activities as identified by HR Director in areas of responsibility</li> <li>Collaborates on annual reporting and updates as required</li> <li>Ensures all activities in the area of responsibility meet CARF requirements</li> <li>Assist with HRIS Administration</li> <li>Collaborates with HR Coordinator on Recruitment and Onboarding</li> <li>Act as a representative of Adjoin at various work sites, meetings, and events</li> <li>Assist with the implementation and administration of the Employee Recognition Program</li> <li>Create standardized process maps for HR Systems and Processes</li> <li>Assists Payroll with best practices to comply with CA Wage and Hour</li> <li>Provides guidance and interpretation on Policies and Procedures</li> <li>Actively promotes, exemplifies, and teaches Adjoin code of ethics and Adjoin values.</li> <li>Works on assigned HR Projects to improve department and/or organization</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>18 years of age or older</li> <li>2-4 years experience in Human Resources, benefits, recruiting, or similar positions requiring strict confidentiality adherence and collaboration in a human resources department</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Organizational Leadership or related field HR Certificate, SHRM or HRCI certification a plus</li> <li>Demonstrated proficiency and experience in applying California employment laws, HR best practices, OSHA compliance and leave administration</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with HRIS administration</li> <li>Well-developed interpersonal skills</li> <li>Demonstrated computer literacy (MS Office) and capability to maintain well-organized records and files.</li> <li>Ability to follow detailed, multi-step instructions is critical to this position.</li> <li>Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and manage time is also an essential component of this position.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate and maintain professional boundaries as custodian of confidential information.</li> <li>Insured, registered vehicle in safe working condition, and proof of current CA driver&rsquo;s license.</li> </ul> Position Requirements<br /> <ul> <li>Ability to travel within and throughout the counties in which services are provided a minimum of 25% of the time.</li> <li>Ability to travel in and throughout the state on an as-needed basis to attend meetings, trainings, etc.</li> <li>Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check.</li> <li>Physical evaluations may be required dependent upon specific assigned duties or compliance requirements and may include a TB test and/or a lift and transfer test.</li> <li>Acceptable DMV record.</li> </ul>
