Overview: The Director of Product Operations will be responsible for the overall performance, standards, and direction of the Data Operations and Product Operations support domains. The Director of Product Operations will serve in a critical leadership role over the Product Operations team and partner with Product Engineering, Quality Assurance, Product Management, and Business Leadership to follow business imperatives. The Director of Data Operations will be responsible for the overall management, execution, and operations of Product Operations deliverables, and support Advantasure&rsquo;s Product support operations, Service Level Agreements, and delivery.<br /><br /> <p>Directly supervises exempt and non-exempt staff in accordance with company policies and applicable Federal and State Laws.&nbsp; Responsibilities include but are not limited to effectively interviewing, hiring, terminating, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; supporting and encouraging the engagement process.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Responsible for Data Operations as it relates to data transmission, data loading, processing, and SLA&rsquo;s, for Advantasure products and clients.</li> <li>Responsible for Product Operations as it relates to Level 2 support of break/fix and maintenance items and adherence of all internal and external SLAs.</li> <li>Manage and lead vendor partners and managed services as a part of the overall support ecosystem. Ensure their performance meets Advantasure&rsquo;s needs and SLAs.</li> <li>Coordinate with Product Management, Product Engineering, Architecture, and Business Leadership to define and lead the operations and support needs of enterprise solutions.</li> <li>Ensure the success of supporting Product processes and responsibilities.</li> <li>Influence senior leaders and all levels of business and technology staff on all areas of the architecture, including policies, standards, strategies, and governance.</li> <li>Responsible for establishing and enhancing formal processes, schedules, and SLA&rsquo;s for product operations, support, data exchange, and data transmission.</li> <li>Provide expert advice on industry and application trends when analyzing and planning current and future IT needs as it relates to Product and Data Operations.</li> <li>Be a stakeholder and provide guidance on complex architecture challenges.</li> <li>Career management of Product Operations team.</li> <li>Sourcing additional resources for the Product Operations team as needed.</li> <li>Ensures comprehensive and complete work practices and processes are in place and effective.</li> <li>Responsible and accountable for assisting with communications and marketing efforts for the Product Operations,</li> <li>Participate in the development of programs as a strategic partner that supports the Company plan.</li> <li>Participate in the development of the annual departmental budget, monitor budget, and identify budget discrepancies.&nbsp; Research cause and make recommendations.</li> <li>Responsibility for balancing workload to optimize the effectiveness of the department.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <p>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in computer science or related field.&nbsp; Combinations of relevant education, certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy, is required.&nbsp; Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.<br /><br /><br /></p> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <p>Ten years of progressive responsibility in an IT environment with demonstrated technical knowledge which provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities. &nbsp;Five years management or supervisory in IT required.&nbsp; Experience within the healthcare insurance industry highly preferred.<br /><br /><br /></p> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Broad understanding of business domains and preferred expertise in one or more domains</li> <li>Project/Resource Management.</li> <li>Deep understanding of development and project management processes and methodologies including common roles, responsibilities, and key deliverables.</li> <li>Deep understanding of the current technology environment, competitive landscape, and industry trends in emerging technologies.</li> <li>In-depth understanding of the healthcare insurance domain.</li> <li>Knowledge of all components of holistic enterprise architecture.</li> <li>Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes.</li> <li>Strong leadership skills.</li> <li>Excellent analytical and technical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent planning and organizational skills.</li> <li>Ability to balance the long-term ("big picture") and short-term implications of individual decisions</li> <li>Drive for Results.</li> <li>Dealing with ambiguity/change.</li> <li>Project and Resource Management.</li> <li>Must demonstrate leadership ability and team-building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff and interact with all levels of management.</li> <li>Ability to work with and empower others on a collaborative basis to ensure the success of the unit team.</li> <li>Ability to effectively exchange information, in verbal or written form, by sharing ideas, reporting facts and other information, responding to questions, and employing active listening techniques.</li> <li>Ability to effectively present budgetary and/or cost information, and respond to questions as appropriate.</li> <li>Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects, and meets necessary deadlines.</li> </ul>
