Overview: This role owns the Portfolio Management demand intake process and is responsible for the assessment and cross-functional vetting of new ideas and sales opportunities to ensure they meet Advantasure&rsquo;s portfolio vision. This position will play a crucial role in owning and implementing new portfolio management processes within Advantasure and is responsible that approved portfolio investments are aligned to the business strategy and meets short/long term business needs and value expectations.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Manages and owns the demand intake process, cross functional touchpoints, artifacts, and templates needed for portfolio intake and opportunity assessment.</li> <li>Responsible for driving cross-functional teams&rsquo; completion of necessary artifacts.</li> <li>Responsible for assessing content and tracking milestones that must be met before next steps can be taken.</li> <li>Owns the approval process and governance for defining when an opportunity is considered ready to be placed within the long-term Strategic Roadmap.</li> <li>Provides guidance and support to idea/opportunity owner for the completion of necessary process milestones including business cases (inclusive of market research, competitive analysis, anticipated business impact and ROI) as well as strategic plans for marketing &amp; communications, sales, finance, development, support &amp; maintenance, compliance and leading indicators.</li> <li>Ensures that leading indicators and key metrics are feasible and trackable, and that data is available for tracking.</li> <li>Ensures that appropriate stakeholders are engaged in risk identification and mitigation.</li> <li>Ensures opportunities are documented within tracking software and is dispositioned to the correct status and resource assignment.</li> <li>Develops and maintains intake process templates.</li> <li>Develops, maintains, and presents intake training materials to effectively train stakeholders across the organization.</li> <li>Continuously improves the intake process by integrating optimal ways of delivering and supporting opportunity assessment.</li> <li>Develops strong partnerships with internal departments and external customers, establishing transparency and trust to build confidence and deepen relationships.</li> <li>Actively engages stakeholders and teammates and creates a positive team atmosphere.</li> <li>Supports weekly/monthly/quarterly status meetings and publishes dashboards to keep stakeholders abreast of new information and opportunity assessments in the funnel.</li> <li>Responsible for keeping product funnel/opportunities up to date and visible to leadership within a portfolio view; trackable by solution and roadmap year.</li> <li>Completes other routine and ad hoc analysis and reporting.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>EDUCATION:</strong><br /><br />Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree required. Advanced degree preferred. A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy, is required. Agile SAFe Lean Portfolio Management Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.<br /><br /><br /><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong><br /><br />Minimum ten years of experience in a related field, typically in two subject areas (e.g. Lean Portfolio Management, program management, product management, resource planning, development planning and/or business systems analysis). The above minimum requirements may be fulfilled in tandem and do not have to be sequential or separate.<br /><br /><br /> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED: </strong></p> <ul> <li>SAFe Lean Portfolio Management Certification (preferred).</li> <li>Portfolio Management, Product Manager/Owner, Program Manager or Business Analyst experience (preferred).</li> <li>Proven experience driving and supporting development of business cases inclusive of problem definition, marketing analysis, proforma and ROI (preferred).</li> <li>Proven ability to facilitate meetings of all sizes for requirements, definition and documentation, project planning, solution design, decision negotiations, risk and issue identification and status tracking.</li> <li>Proven ability to define and implement processes across an enterprise organization.</li> <li>3-5 years of working experience with portfolio tracking and documentation tools (Jira and Confluence preferred).</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience with Agile product development.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment.</li> <li>Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Attention to accuracy and detail required</li> <li>Excellent organizational, planning, verbal, and written communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to effectively present financial, budgetary and/or cost information, and respond to questions as appropriate.</li> <li>Competence to analyze financial and non-financial data.</li> <li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to effectively exchange information, in verbal or written form, by sharing ideas, reporting facts and other information, responding to questions, and employing active listening techniques.</li> <li>Ability to work independently, within a team environment, and communicate effectively with employees at all levels</li> </ul> <br />
