Overview: The Scrum Master is a proven professional who will lead project analysis, as well as provide critical direction and information to the executive team.&nbsp; This position will lead the day-to-day activities for one or more of our software development projects using an Agile Methodology.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Leads one or more agile development projects as scrum master and team member.</li> <li>Employs best practices for agile/scrum methodology while operating within the department&rsquo;s overall SDLC Framework.</li> <li>Works collaboratively with a team of senior project managers and the program manager to give input and support to the strategic direction of the initiative as a whole.</li> <li>Motivates and supports team members and ensures they have the tools and knowledge to do their jobs and that all blocking issues are resolved quickly.</li> <li>Creates self-organizing agile teams and facilitates the delegation of tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members.</li> <li>Acts as moderator for sprint planning, daily standups, sprint demos, and refactoring/reflection sessions.</li> <li>Communicates team status to all internal stakeholders and continuously refines/improves metrics by working with the team.</li> <li>Escalates issues that require executive attention.</li> <li>Discovers opportunities to support organizational initiatives and develops strategies and programs to promote initiatives.</li> <li>Participates in the development of programs as a strategic partner that supports the company plan as directed by leadership.</li> <li>Provides planning, project coordination, and management for the development of organizational initiatives, while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the organization.</li> <li>Provides oversight and guidance to projects of high importance.</li> <li>Responsible for balancing workload to optimize the effectiveness of project development and management.</li> <li>Oversees complex and comprehensive operational implementations for the organization.</li> <li>Performs analysis to determine the root cause of challenges and provides solutions for improved operational and process performance.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong></p> <p>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in health, marketing, public relations, or a related field. A masters' Degree in a related field preferred. A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy, is required.&nbsp; Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.<br /><br /><br /></p> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> Ten years of progressive responsibility in a consulting role and in a healthcare environment with demonstrated technical experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. One year of leadership experience required. Proven experience as a scrum master on several successful software development projects involving multiple developers is preferred. Previous experience as a software developer is preferred. Bilingual skills preferred. &nbsp;<br /><br /><br /><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>A clear understanding of agile software development methodologies and key best practices.</li> <li>Strong analytical, problem solving, and planning skills.</li> <li>Must demonstrate leadership ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge in a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.</li> <li>A wide degree of creativity and latitude.</li> <li>Ability to effectively exchange information, in verbal or written form, by sharing ideas, reporting facts and other information, responding to questions, and employing active listening techniques.</li> <li>Ability to effectively present budgetary and/or cost information, and respond to questions as appropriate.</li> <li>Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects, and meet necessary deadlines.</li> <li>Ability to comprehend the consequences of various problem situations and address them.</li> <li>Effective fact gathering, problem-solving, and time management skills.</li> <li>Strong focus on research, statistical analysis, developing budgets, financial planning, and strategy.</li> <li>Ability to be flexible as projects are often non-routine and require re-prioritizing of workload.</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality.</li> <li>Ability to perform other assignments at locations outside the office.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><br />
