Overview: <p>The Advantasure Director of Product Management is responsible for a business&rsquo;s product planning and execution all through the lifecycle of the business.</p> <p>This is inclusive of gathering and prioritizing requirements for the product, defining the vision and competitive pricing for the product, and collaborating with other stakeholders from the engineering, marketing, sales, and operations departments in order to ensure that the financial and consumer satisfaction goals are met and exceeded.</p> <p>In addition to this, the Director of Product Management also ensures that that the company&rsquo;s overall strategy and goals are supported by those of the product and our products remain market competitive and stay ahead of our competition.</p> <p>The Director of&nbsp;Product Management will be responsible for the Analytics Product Suite, specifically in the integration domain. The ideal candidate would have a combination of technical depth and healthcare business acumen as it relates to large&nbsp;health plan initiatives and product transformations, such as Healthcare Government Programs (i.e: out of the area, etc).<br /><br />Directly supervises exempt and non-exempt staff in accordance with company policies and applicable Federal and State Laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, effectively interviewing, hiring, terminating, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; supporting and encouraging the engagement process.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Leads key product definition, prioritization, and launch decisions.</li> <li>Evaluates customer requests for capabilities, industry drivers, and competition to determine product priorities.</li> <li>Leads product strategy and scope decisions based on internal and external factors.</li> <li>Defines solutions for prospects and their integration with third-party solutions.</li> <li>Manages product readiness and rollout for Analytics Product Solutions.</li> <li>Develops product strategy and related business cases.</li> <li>Evaluates client requests, industry drivers, and competitor capabilities to identify enhancements.</li> <li>Evaluates regulatory changes to determine how they should be accommodated.</li> <li>Manages product roadmap priorities to ensure development work is prioritized.</li> <li>Collaborates with Sales and industry consultants on RFPs and sales initiatives.</li> <li>Collaborates with Marketing to effectively communicate the value of the product and overall solution.</li> <li>Stays abreast of market changes, represents products at industry conferences, and develops white papers.</li> <li>Provides direction on use cases for product enhancements and new products to the product and technical team.</li> <li>Provides final acceptance and signoff on all software deliveries.</li> <li>Serves as the liaison with clients, communicates upcoming system changes, the future direction of the product, and serves as an industry expert for the product.</li> <li>Provides vision, leadership, planning, project coordination, and management for the development of a cost-effective department, while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the organization.</li> <li>Represents Company in community and industry, programs, and conferences.</li> <li>Upon request functions as the department head in the absence of the executive leader.</li> <li>Participates in the development of programs as a strategic partner that supports the company plan.</li> <li>Participates in the development of the annual departmental budget, monitors budget, and identifies budget discrepancies. Researches cause and make recommendations.</li> <li>Responsible for balancing workload to optimize the effectiveness of the department.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>EDUCATION:</strong><br /><br />Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related field. Master&rsquo;s degree in a related field preferred. A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy, is required. Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.<br /><br /><br /><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong><br /><br />Ten (10) years of progressively more responsible experience in a health care environment with demonstrated technical experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Five (5) years of management or supervisory experience in health care required. Experience in the health care industry with payers, third-party administrators, benefit consultants, or health care IT required. Bilingual skills preferred.<br /><br /><br /><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Demonstrated expertise in the health payer market and deep knowledge of payer operations.</li> <li>Exposure to Agile development methodologies, such as SCRUM.</li> <li>Experience delivering products and/or projects to large-scale enterprises.</li> <li>Expertise in defining and prioritizing business requirements and validating product capabilities.</li> <li>Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.</li> <li>Ability to manage competing priorities and understand the downstream implications of shifting priorities.</li> <li>Ability to facilitate the completion of work in a matrix environment.</li> <li>Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience required. MS Project preferred. Confluence and JIRA are a plus.</li> <li>Able to drive cross-functional coordination and alignment around initiatives to create a competitive advantage in the marketplace.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively with senior leaders and functional teams to ensure success.</li> <li>Must demonstrate leadership ability and team-building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff and interact with all levels of management.</li> <li>Ability to work with and empower others on a collaborative basis to ensure the success of the unit team.</li> <li>Ability to effectively exchange information, in verbal or written form, by sharing ideas, reporting facts and other information, responding to questions, and employing active listening techniques.</li> <li>Ability to effectively present budgetary and/or cost information, and respond to questions as appropriate.</li> <li>Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects, and meet necessary deadlines.</li> <li>Ability to understand complex solution designs and basic database technologies (i.e SQL Server)</li> </ul>
