Overview: <br />The Software Engineer III is a hands-on position responsible for designing databases, developing stored procedures, and implementing performance tuning.<br /><br /><br /> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p> <p>Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards.</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Designs databases, develops stored procedures and functions, and performs performance tuning</li> <li>Develops using Microsoft .Net Framework (through 3.5/4.0) with C#</li> <li>Develops WebServices using WCF</li> <li>Participates in Sprint planning sessions, working closely with Service Delivery Managers, COE Dev Lead, Client BAs and team members to analyze and deliver solutions for time-critical issues to meet SLAs while ensuring quality of deliverable.</li> <li>Delivers solution/fixes using disciplined processes, adhering to industry standards and best practices, including complete ease with agile development methods throughout the SDLC</li> <li>Experiences supporting enterprise-level software infrastructure for external clients</li> <li>Resolves customer complaints and respond with suggestions for improvements and enhancements</li> <li>Works with technical staff to analyze and understand problems with complex software systems and resolve them</li> <li>Works with QA Engineers for quality review and signoff, before deployment to client environments.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Software/Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer/Information Sciences or Mathematics (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).</li> <li>Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.&nbsp;</li> <li>Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy, is required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>With the right credentials, seven years experience.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of Test Driven Development preferred.</li> <li>Experience with tools such as PL/SQL Developer and Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) preferred.</li> <li>Experience with WCF Technology certifications (BizTalk/.NET/Oracle/SQL Server) preferred.</li> </ul> <p><em>&nbsp;</em></p> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deep HealthCare EDI Knowledge and experience</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010 or above</li> <li>Proficiency in RDBMS (Oracle 10g or above AND/OR MS SQL Server 2008 or above)</li> <li>C#.NET</li> <li>Deep analytical, problem solving and planning skills</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li> <li>Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Flexibility to adapt readily to changing business needs</li> <li>Enthusiastic, can-do attitude with the drive to continually learn and improve</li> </ul>
