Overview: <p>Responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations and workflows of the Performance Office staff for Advantasure, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance and management reporting. This position is responsible for supporting the financial and business strategy development, execution, analysis, and reporting against key measures in support of the company&rsquo;s executive performance reporting tools and processes. This role will work closely with Advantasure business leaders, as well as the Emergent Holdings finance and performance management teams.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develops and interprets statistical, financial, and underlying performance driver information in order to identify and/or analyze operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness.</li> <li>Provides timely and meaningful business insights and develops recommendations for corrective action to support executive-level decision making</li> <li>Lead team of analysts and advisors including managing, training, developing, retaining talent, and balancing/prioritizing team workload to optimize the effectiveness of the department.</li> <li>Create and continuously improve executive dashboards, reports, improvement action plans, and supporting processes.</li> <li>Forecast future performance through a collaborative financial planning process using both historical information and known future events and inputs - develop an annual budget, monthly and quarterly forecasts, and present company performance results.</li> <li>Regularly communicate issues or progress to leaders, and present key performance updates routinely (monthly, quarterly) to the executive leadership team.</li> <li>Works closely with business unit leaders across Advantasure to help create and drive strategic plans and metrics while helping to assess key budget variances and off-plan performance.</li> <li>Analyze and assess emerging trends, drivers of performance, and challenges across the P&amp;L</li> <li>Create and support the business process redesign work including the Financial/Accounting/Reporting functions.</li> <li>Leads preliminary financial due diligence activities including building complex financial models.</li> <li>Performs ad-hoc or on-demand projects, research, and analysis in support of key stakeholders.</li> <li>Manages executive-level relationships, communicates, and collaborates with various departments and teams across Advantasure and the enterprise including Emergent Holdings.</li> <li>Works with minimum supervision.</li> <li>Provides effective development of staff</li> <li>Effectively manages several projects at once.</li> <li>Exercise discretion when communicating outside of the department</li> <li>Maintains confidentiality of information processed.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting, finance or business administration required. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy, is required.&nbsp; Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.</p> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>Ten years relevant experience, including supervision of staff, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, management reporting, strategic modeling, process redesign.&nbsp; Medicare Advantage or technology solutions industry experience a plus.</p> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Extensive knowledge and expertise of business reporting, financial accounting and data analytics</li> <li>Strong knowledge of financial systems, process flows and internal controls</li> <li>Strong human relations, analytical, problem solving, influencing and decision-making skills</li> <li>Ability to apply the principles of logical thinking to define problem; collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.</li> <li>Ability to learn new software easily.</li> <li>Ability to organize, analyze and interpret financial and management data to solve management and business problems.</li> <li>Ability to conduct root cause analysis of various problem situations and address them or refer them for appropriate decision making.</li> <li>Ability to develop, communicate and implement effective and efficient recommendations.</li> <li>Ability to communicate complex business or financial issues in a way that is understood by different audiences.</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to complete and present executive level reports and presentations.</li> <li>Excellent project management and leadership skills</li> <li>Proven ability to develop staff</li> <li>Deadline and action oriented.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.</li> <li>Ability to perform other assignments at locations outside the office.</li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -48px; top: 26px;">&nbsp;</div>
