Overview: The Manager, Provider Engagement is responsible for the overall management of the coordination, implementation, execution control, and completion of medical practice documentation improvement activities at specified practice sites.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assists with market development including identification of development opportunities and driving expansion efforts</li> <li>Responsible for oversight of relationships and productivity within provider clinics/offices</li> <li>Access and navigate patient medical records (paper or electronic), and direct others in accessing patient medical records.</li> <li>Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, and developing personal growth opportunities.</li> <li>Communicates job expectations; plans, monitors, and appraises job results; coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees; and coordinates and enforces policies, procedures, and productivity standards.</li> <li>Assists with developing strategic goals by gathering pertinent business and market conditions.</li> <li>Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems, identifying trends, and recommending system improvements.</li> <li>Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.</li> <li>Participates in the development of the annual departmental budget, monitors budget, and identifies budget discrepancies.&nbsp; Researches cause and make recommendations.</li> <li>Responsible for balancing workload to optimize the effectiveness of the department.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>DIRECTION EXERCISED:</strong></p> <p>Directly supervises exempt and non-exempt staff in accordance with company policies and applicable Federal and State Laws.&nbsp; Responsibilities include but are not limited to effectively interviewing, hiring, terminating, and training employees; planning, assigning, directing, and monitoring operational processes; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; supporting and encouraging the engagement process.</p>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong></p> <p>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related field.&nbsp; A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.&nbsp; Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy, is required.&nbsp; Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.<br /><br /></p> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <p>Seven (7) years experience of progressive responsibility in a Health Care environment with demonstrated technical knowledge that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required.&nbsp; Supervisory or lead experience in Health Care preferred.&nbsp; Must have experience in an outpatient physician office or clinic management position.&nbsp; Previous training experience preferred.&nbsp; Bilingual skills preferred.<br /><br /></p> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Advanced technical skills for use of hardware and software with a high degree of accuracy.&nbsp;</li> <li>Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license, clean driving record, and your own reliable, insured, and registered vehicle.</li> <li>Excellent organization skills required.</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication for representation of clear and concise results.</li> <li>Ability to manage a significant work load, and to work efficiently under pressure, meeting established deadlines with minimal supervision.</li> <li>Familiarity with HCC Coding preferred.</li> <li>Strong time management skills.</li> <li>Must possess a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and dependability.</li> <li>Must demonstrate leadership ability and team building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff and interact with all levels of management.</li> <li>Ability to work with and empower others on a collaborative basis to ensure success of unit team.</li> <li>Ability to effectively exchange information, in verbal or written form, by sharing ideas, reporting facts and other information, responding to questions and employing active listening techniques.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects, and meet necessary deadlines.</li> <li>Strong relationship building and relational skills in working with Practices to persuade, explain and occasionally de-escalate.</li> </ul>
