Overview: <p><br />The Pharmacy Technician Member Care Specialist will provide support to&nbsp;the Pharmacy Operations department in various aspects of pharmacy and pharmacy oversight functions, including pharmacy overrides, member outreach, and additional pharmacy process support. This role requires a keen understanding of pharmacy, Medicare Part D, and business-related concepts as well as pharmacy claims adjudication processing and will combine this knowledge with problem-solving to perform the functions of the job.</p> <p><br />*The anticipated start date for this position is January 2, 2022*<br /><br /></p> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p> <p>Work is performed in a remote office setting with no unusual hazards. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Support member outreach involving pharmacy grievances, member dissatisfaction, and resolution.</li> <li>Coordinate &amp; assist in resolution of client delegated issues</li> <li>Maintain updated policies and procedure for all client delegated operational processes</li> <li>Collaborate with Compliance, Customer Service, COB team, IT, and the PBM as required to resolve issues and implement initiatives</li> <li>Submit/track issues with PBM as necessary</li> <li>Proofread/edit documents/communication materials as requested</li> <li>Provide customer service with timely updates and alerts regarding upcoming member communications &amp; initiatives</li> <li>Execute authorizations for customer service originated member requests</li> <li>Organize and tabulate data into monthly reports for dashboard and client meetings</li> <li>Continually work to improve skillset and proficiency</li> <li>Supporting Part D Star outreaches as requested</li> <li>Support additional pharmacy processes as assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Licensed pharmacy technician (required)</li> <li>Nationally certified pharmacy technician (preferred).&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Two years of relevant Medicare Part D experience in a PBM or health plan setting required; five years as a pharmacy technician (preferred).</li> <li>Medicare Part D Stars experience is preferred.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication skills</li> <li>Strong problem solving and analytical skills</li> <li>Consistent attention to detail</li> <li>Proficient in MS Office suite tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).</li> <li>Health Plan knowledge necessary to effectively discuss pharmacy issues with clients, members, and internal partners.</li> <li>Working knowledge of applicable pharmacy regulations</li> <li>Strong proficiency in communicating with all levels of an organization</li> <li>Skilled collaborator with tenacity to solve complex problems through problem solving, communication, and negotiation skills</li> <li>Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines</li> <li>Ability to work with minimal amount of supervision</li> <li>Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Ability to work extended/shifted hours, weekends, and holidays pursuant with industry demands and to support client/member time zone needs.</li> </ul>
