With a robust approach to leading large-scale complex projects with diverse stakeholders and team members, you will lead the work and the collaboration to serve the common good of a successful project. With over 35 projects in the GTA currently underway, you will hit the ground running and take ownership of your work.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR"><strong>Who you are</strong></p> <p dir="LTR">You have commercial real estate knowledge, ideally in end-to-end property development. You have a construction, municipal planning, or architecture background and are skilled in process and change management. Responsibilities: <p dir="LTR"><strong>Our new Project Manager will:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p dir="LTR">Provide end-to-end project management of technical services for moderately complex development management projects. You will:</p> <ul> <li> <p dir="LTR">Prepare project proposals, briefs, and detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and micro-deliverables using appropriate software and PM methods.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Manage resources, scheduling, documentation, budget, and cash flow.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Analyze projects to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Review and verify that all project documentation has been issued and filed following Project Management Approach standards.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Own the production of overall technical content and reports to be delivered to clients, ensuring the deliverables meet quality standards.</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Client Relationship Management. You will maintain high levels of service delivery to grow fee earnings through repeat business. You will:</p> <ul> <li> <p dir="LTR">Guide clients and provide timely recommendations for all phases of the development life cycle based on industry best practices.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Act as the primary contact for all client communications, leading monthly update meetings with clients and other technical specialists to discuss project progress, identify and resolve standard issues.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Generate and share monthly reports, change requests, and status updates.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Be the primary source of contact with clients and identify new or ongoing needs to extend engagement and leverage market position.</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Leadership. You will oversee the work of the internal and external teams, including the Project Coordinator and Associate Project Manager.&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li> <p dir="LTR">Build strong relationships with internal team members, provide coaching and guidance, remove roadblocks, and ensure high-quality work.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Discuss and resolve technical problems and issues to ensure the project team is working efficiently, competently, and consistently applying Altus policies.</p> </li> </ul> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <p dir="LTR"><strong>Our new Project Manager, will have:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p dir="LTR">The education. You have a degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management, or related discipline. Ideally, you have a diploma or certificate in Project Management or PMI designation.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">The experience. You have a minimum of 5+ years relevant experience in real estate development management, high-rise residential, and Construction Project Management. You have an understanding of the construction industry - development, contracting &amp; consultant services, various procurement methods, and scheduling.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">The knowledge. You have core competencies in the pre-construction entitlement process, contract documents, drawing interpretation, construction administration, and close-out procedures. You may have exposure to CIQS standard method of measurement &ndash; elemental/trade, Uniformat, Provincial lien act, and Standard contract conditions &ndash; CCDC is an asset.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Project Management skills. You are highly detail-oriented and meticulous. Your focus is accomplishing every milestone while ensuring processes are followed and issues are proactively dealt with. You can influence work in a multi-functional team environment with rapidly changing priorities under tight deadlines. You are highly proficient with MS Excel and MS Project; experience with SharePoint is an asset.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">The professional communication skills. You have exceptional relationship building and communication - both verbal and written - skills. You are confident working with and presenting to high level stakeholders.
