Reporting to <u><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/peter-norman-20637043/?originalSubdomain=ca" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">VP and Chief Economist, Peter Norman,</a></u> we are looking for a Director, Economic Consulting, to play a leadership role in our National Economic Advisory team. You will play a pivotal role in leading our residential feasibility consulting practice and the team and expanding our engagement with existing and new customers. You will work in partnership with Peter and your peers to implement business plans that align with the strategic goals of the larger team and the organization.

You may currently be a consultant in-house at a developer, as part of an advisory firm or at a brokerage conducting feasibility studies. Or, you may be a policy analyst undertaking or reviewing residential or mixed-use studies for a governing body. Either way, you are an expert consulting report writer and trusted advisor. You want to join the leadership on a national team at a scaling industry leader offering competitive analysis and advice founded on data and integrity. Responsibilities: <p dir="LTR"><strong>What you will focus on:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p dir="LTR"><em>Practice Leadership. </em>You will provide leadership to the Residential Market Studies practice, including project management of residential, retail, and mixed-use market and feasibility studies. You will lead the work with clients to understand requirements for Residential Market Studies. You will manage the workflow of staff within Residential Economic Consulting and liaise with the other National Economic Advisory practice leaders to ensure adherence to the fundamental principles within the discipline of economic <span class="WKJ2">advisory.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR"><em>Business performance and fiscal responsibility. </em>You will participate in strategic planning, provide input into the budget planning, and establish performance goals, including client deliverables, financial performance, and human resources.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR"><em>Client satisfaction, commitment, and growth. </em>You will manage client relationships in a manner that leads to contract renewal, referrals, and service expansion, including upsells and cross-sells; and, provide input for the implementation plans in the local market. You will conduct project reviews, lead the assessment of client requirements, resolve issues as a point of escalation, and play a key role in client presentations.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR"><em>Marketing &amp; Synergy.</em> You will work with Senior Management to develop and implement the marketing and synergy plans for the assigned offices. You will create and innovate new service or product offerings to new and existing clients and partner with peers across other Business Units to explore opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling additional services.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR"><em>Team Leadership. </em>You will provide leadership, coaching, and motivation to the teams, which facilitates business growth and service expansion; and mentoring and inspiration to individuals to ensure engagement, high performance, and satisfaction.
