Responsibilities: <p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p> <p><em>Functions listed are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.</em></p> <ul> <li>Actively seeks and appoints qualified professional agents.</li> <li>Prepares and distributes agency appointment materials (Agency Profiles, Contracts, etc.).</li> <li>Monitors personal and agency growth/retention.</li> <li>Increases Agency base, applications submissions and book transfers where needed.</li> <li>Analyze business trends of agent&rsquo;s submissions.</li> <li>Recognizes business opportunities, trains staff on products, technology and procedures.</li> <li>Acts as liaison between Agency and company (Underwriting, Claims).</li> <li>Develops and implements established company policies, goals and objectives in accordance with corporate strategies.</li> <li>Maintains proficiency in all company products, systems, filings, commission schedules and procedures.</li> <li>Conducts agency visits in assigned territories to increase producers understanding of company&rsquo;s products systems and claim practices, pricing methodology and underwriting philosophies.</li> <li>Develops relationships with Agency staff and principals in assigned territory.</li> <li>Negotiates and establishes business plan to enhance agency production (when appropriate).</li> <li>Provides support to agents by assisting with customer accounts, facilitating resolution of account statement discrepancies and offering other technical and administrative expertise.</li> <li>Effectively monitors agents performance (production, types and quality of submitted accounts, premium growth, loss ratio, submission activity, hit ratio, etc.).</li> <li>Terminates agency relationship when necessary (or recommend to supervisor).</li> <li>Assists in the development, assessment and distribution of promotional materials.</li> <li>Provides on-going assessment of current products and services and proposed products and services competitiveness and makes recommendations for enhancements.</li> <li>Communicates accurate competitor information.</li> <li>Conducts ongoing market analysis, including competitor positioning, changes in legal issues, and regulatory guidelines.</li> <li>Recommends coverage, pricing and workflow enhancements. Compiles information relating to rate reviews, and proposes recommendations to senior staff.</li> <li>Maintains Agency meeting notes, records, trends, profiles.</li> <li>Attend industry tradeshows to promote company and products.</li> <li>Maintains good understanding of company produced reports to clearly relay information to assigned agents.</li> <li>Develops a positive working relationship with strong rapport with the AmCap team. Works with team to exceed customer and producer expectations for service. Manages and intervenes on service issues and other producer or customer concerns.</li> <li>Attends regular department meetings and scheduled all-staff meetings.</li> <li>Performs other job-related duties as required.</li> </ul>
