Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Builds relationships with state regulators who handle day to day filing issues to facilitate the filing process.</li> <li>Assists with creation of initial memos and exhibits necessary for the submission of rate, rule and form filings.</li> <li>Maintain electronic corporate records for all filings and state insurance department correspondence. Provide periodic updates to senior management as required.</li> <li>Create and maintain tracking databases and spreadsheets to reflect current filings status and product submissions.</li> <li>Create and maintain insurance policy forms libraries for all commercial products.</li> <li>Monitor rating bureau circulars and bulletins. Summarize findings and advise impact on existing and new product filings.</li> <li>Create and maintain market analysis of rates and profiles of major competitors. A complete market analysis of rate position by territory/zip code on a number of different risk profiles. Keep up to date of competitor filings and rate levels through OIR website.</li> <li>Researches statutory changes and provides management with requirements. Assists with analysis and interpretation of state statutes to ensure product is compliant with state insurance regulations and laws.</li> <li>Researches and synthesizes information pertinent to state expansion.</li> <li>Assists with maintenance of/updates to product raters. Identifies and resolves rating discrepancies.</li> <li>Creates detailed product specifications and delivers to/coordinates with Systems personnel to ensure products are implemented in an accurate, complete and timely manner.</li> <li>Attends regular department meetings and scheduled all-staff meetings.</li> <li>Performs other job-related duties as required.</li> </ul>

Incorporates needs and concerns of diverse constituencies (e.g., agents, underwriters, claims, and commercial customers) into decision making.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Mathematics, IT, Statistics, or similar Over 3.0 GPA preferred.</li> <li>3+ years&rsquo; experience working in an underwriting, rating, or data analyst role.</li> <li>Insurance Industry designation a plus.</li> <li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations, technical procedures, insurance business periodicals/circulars, and professional journals.</li> <li>High level of attention to detail and able to produce an accurate work product.</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Detail oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.</li> <li>Experience with Excel and Word required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical and Environmental Conditions: </strong></p> <p>Work is conducted in downtown St. Petersburg, a vibrant waterfront community.
