As a UA, individuals will be exposed to all aspects of commercial property insurance. Upon completion of the full training programs, UA&rsquo;s should anticipate being capable of transitioning into a full-time Commercial Lines Underwriter position. Applicants should be detail-oriented and are expected to be rapid learners. During training, UA&rsquo;s will learn all aspects of underwriting from data entry, evaluating risk, processing endorsements, and quoting renewal business. In addition, continuing education assistance is available for employees to further develop their careers with AmCap Insurance. Responsibilities: <p><strong>DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Evaluate applications for new business and renewals: <ul> <li>Examine applications, supplemental questionnaires, loss experience and additional resources such as appraisals, on-line tools and other third-party reports;</li> <li>Seeks additional information needed to determine eligibility under company guidelines and notifies agent to explain reason for decision (decline/quote);</li> <li>Maintain a master log of all submission activity and account files/documentation;</li> </ul> </li> <li>Prepare submissions for underwriting review and quoting;</li> <li>Process policies: <ul> <li>Requests &amp; follow up for documents to complete the underwriting file; Examines signed applications for completeness &amp; accuracy;</li> <li>Process endorsements, cancellations and reinstatements;</li> <li>Handles billing queries regarding payments; Follows up for receipt of outstanding balances;</li> <li>Orders inspections &amp; follows up for receipt;</li> </ul> </li> </ul>
