The Slot Assistant Manager supervises the Slot Service Specialists and provides all operational and guest service support
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Accountable for the adherence and/or enforcement of all written controls and procedures within the casino.</li> <li>Monitors slot equipment, support equipment, and programs to ensure proper working order and condition.</li> <li>Trains and motivates subordinates to develop a quality work environment.</li> <li>Ensures and maintains proper control over slot machines within the guidelines of the Colorado Division of Gaming and Ameristar Casino.</li> <li>Able to perform/assist in the duties of the Operations Manager in his/her absence.</li> <li>Authorizes jackpot payoffs. Ensures all events such as Overrides, Voids, GPI Intercept, and any other anomaly events are handled in accordance with Colorado Division of Gaming and departmental policies.</li> <li>Prepares Team Member weekly work schedule as well as for the assigned shift.</li> <li>Completes daily and weekly reports as requested.</li> <li>Maintains the highest levels and role model managerial expectations (outlined below)</li> <li>May assist in the installation and removal of slot machines.</li> <li>Coach subordinates in accordance with casino policy/expectations regarding exceptional attitude, teamwork, and guest service as well as opportunities for improvement regarding below standard performance.</li> <li>Acts as a liaison between the Slot Team, Slot Tech Team, and all other associated departments such as Security and Casino Services.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul><li>Strong problem solving, mediation, coaching, and consulting skills. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Knowledgeable of Colorado gaming laws and regulations.</li><li>Fully competent in Microsoft Office.</li><li>Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.</li><li>Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization.</li><li>Highly organized and detail-oriented.</li><li>2 years supervisory experience</li><li>Position is required to obtain a gaming license for State of Colorado.</li></ul>
