Responsibilities: Position is open until filled<br />Ameristar Casino Resort Spa offers Team Members:<br /> <br />Now hiring candidates 18 or older for all positions, including gaming licensed positions (Must be 21 or older for Beverage Server, Barback, Bartender)<br /><ul><li>Health Benefits Insurance package effective Day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Short-Term Disability for FT team members</li><li>$700 Referral Bonus Program ($350 at 90 days $350 at 6 months) – for Team Members who refer new applicants</li><li>Discounted Casino bus tickets </li><li>Discounted RTD EcoPass</li><li>Hot meal served by the Leadership Team once a month</li><li>20% discount for Starbucks, Ara Spa, and all food outlets </li><li>100% Colorado Gaming License reimbursement after 90 days of employment </li><li>Hotel discounts available at all 43 PENN properties, plus discounts on goods and services</li><li>Education reimbursement program and Annual Scholarship Program </li><li>Career development opportunities </li></ul>Responsibilities include: <br /><ul><li>Adheres to departmental and company policies and procedures regarding guest service standards. </li><li>Greets and welcomes each guest seated in assigned station. </li><li>Familiar with restaurant food menu, including description, price, add-ons, and beverages; responsible for knowing all beverage standards. </li><li>Responsible for monitoring alcohol consumption of the guest. </li><li>Responsible for opening and closing side work. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining a well-stocked and fully prepared bar. </li><li>Responsible for the routine cleaning and day-to-day maintenance of all bar equipment. </li><li>Maintains buffet line and carving station. </li><li>Communicates as needed with Casino Hosts, Coordinators, and Player Development Manager regarding players. </li><li>Assists Banquet Managers as needed. </li><li>Wipes counter areas, sinks, and floors as required to maintain a clean and safe work station. </li><li>Assists wait staff and bus persons in their duties (e.g. refill water glasses and coffee cups, help pre-bus and bus tables, attend to guest needs) as necessary, or required. </li><li>Resolves service issues according to established guidelines. </li><li>Knows and promotes current casino events and programs and can give guests directions to all casino areas. </li><li>Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. </li><li>Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.</li></ul>
Requirements: <ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Prior casino experience and at least six (6) months of previous food service experience preferred. </li><li>Must have excellent customer service/communication skills. </li><li>Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization. </li><li>Must be willing and able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.</li></ul>
