Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Maintain and repair furniture in a hotel / casino environment which includes refinishing and/or structural repairs.</li> <li>Frame out walls for small construction projects happening on property.</li> <li>Assist with the installation of drywall.</li> <li>Perform cabinetry repairs.</li> <li>Perform finished carpentry such as installing various types of molding and trim work.</li> <li>Perform staining and finishing of newly installed woodwork.</li> <li>Hanging doors and repairing doors and hardware.</li> <li>Complete any special requests that come from other departments on property as they pertain to the carpentry trade.</li> <li>Working as part of a team you must be willing and able to help in other areas of the Facilities department when needed.</li> <li>Design and implement plans for new installations.</li> <li>Coordinate and schedule outside contractors as needed.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>GED or High School Diploma</li> <li>Must have experience in furniture repairs, furniture and woodwork re-finishing, cabinet making, framing &amp; finishing carpentry.</li> <li>Must have strong problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Must have the ability to maintain a high level of energy and take proactive and strategic approach to issues.</li> <li>Must have the ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.</li> <li>Must have the ability to work as a team or on your own.</li> <li>Must be able to communicate effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization.</li> <li>Must be highly organized and detailed.</li> <li>Knowledge of basic computer skills is preferred.</li> <li>Must have three years&rsquo; experience in the carpentry trade.</li> <li>Must be able to work alone or as part of a team to achieve a common goal.</li> <li>Must be dependable and reliable.</li> <li>Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.</li> <li>Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to issues.</li> </ul>
