Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Greet guests with a smile and pleasant disposition in a timely manner.</li> <li>Must be familiar with menu, daily specials, and preparation of foods and prices.</li> <li>Use suggestive selling (i.e., cocktails, appetizers, desserts, etc.).</li> <li>Take customer&rsquo;s orders and accurately input the order into the computer.</li> <li>Observe and anticipate guests&rsquo; needs, keep the table clear between courses, and beverages filled throughout their meal.</li> <li>Present check for payment when all guests&rsquo; needs have been met.</li> <li>Complete assigned side work and additional daily tasks.</li> <li>Inform immediate supervisor if situations arise with guests or fellow employees that cannot be handled directly.</li> <li>Serve the table completely, using trays and covers on food, serving all sides and accompaniments in a timely, efficient manner according to all Standards and Sequence of Service.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned for guest service expectations in restaurant.</li> <li>Learning our food and beverage menu to guide guests through their experience.</li> <li>Delivering food and drink items</li> <li>Maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant through pre-bussing tables, sweeping, etc.</li> <li>Assisting other departments (host, expeditor, busser) as necessary</li> <li>Restocking ice, glassware, polishing silverware.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <li>Two (2) years’ experience as a server in a dining establishment preferred.</li><li>Food service experience.</li><li>An outgoing personality with interest in guest hospitality.</li><li>Knowledge of upselling techniques.</li><li>Exceptional work habits. </li><li>Knowledgeable of menu to include alcoholic beverages that are available.</li><li>Strong customer service skills</li><li>Ability to sustain a high level of professionalism.</li><li>Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with guest issues.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with guests at all levels.</li><li>Highly organized and detail oriented.</li></ul>
